Binhai railway station (Chinese :滨海站; pinyin :Bīnhǎi Zhàn), formerly Yujiapu railway station, is an underground railway station located in Binhai, Tianjin, People's Republic of China. It is the southern terminus of the Beijing–Tianjin intercity railway and serves the Yujiapu Financial District, an area with many new skyscrapers. It is considered one of the four main rail transportation hubs for Tianjin with Tianjin, Tianjin West and Binhai West railway station. [1] It is to be served by the Tianjin Metro lines B1 and Z4.

History

The station's construction started on February 27, 2009,On September 1st, construction personnel from Yujiapu Station entered the site to carry out the main construction of the station building.The station's construction started on February 27, 2009,On November 18, 2013, the steel structure dome unloading work was completed at Yujiapu Station, and the main structural engineering of the station building was completed.On May 5, 2010, the construction of intermediate piles was carried out at Jiabao Station.On August 20, 2014, the installation work of the steel structure water tank and glass curtain wall prototype section was completed at Yujiapu Station, and the installation of the membrane structure was carried out.was completed on August 8, 2015 [2] and it was opened to traffic on September 20, 2015. [3] The name of station was changed from Yujiapu to Binhai on January 5, 2019. [4] Simultaneously, another station that was previously named Binhai had its name changed to Binhai West.

Future

Binhai railway station will be the northern terminus of the Tianjin–Weifang–Yantai high-speed railway, turning the current terminus station into a through station. [5] [6]

The Port of Tianjin, formerly known as the Port of Tanggu, is the largest port in Northern China and the main maritime gateway to Beijing. The Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway is a high-speed rail line under construction in China. The Chinese name of the railway line, Huyurong, is a combination of the abbreviations for Shanghai, Chongqing, and Chengdu. It will run in an east-west direction largely parallel to the Yangtze River, connecting the cities of Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Wuhan, Chongqing and Chengdu.

Shanghai East railway station is a planned new station in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai. It will be located beside Shanghai Pudong International Airport, forming a future major intermodal passenger transport hub. Shanghai East Railway Station is expected to be completed and put into operation within 2027.

Tianjin–Weifang–Yantai high-speed railway is a high-speed railway currently under construction in China. The railway will have a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph). Weifang–Yantai section of the railway is expected to open in 2024 and Tianjin–Weifang section is expected to open in 2027.

The Second Chengdu–Chongqing high-speed railway is a 292-kilometre (181 mi) long high-speed rail line that connects the cities of Chengdu and Chongqing in southwestern China, with a maximum speed of 350 km/h (220 mph). It will head via Lezhi, Anyue, and Dazu. Construction started on September 26, 2021 and it is expected to open in 2027.

Yuhuan railway station is a planned railway station in Yuhuan, Taizhou, Zhejiang, China. It will be the southern terminus of the Hangzhou–Taizhou high-speed railway. The station is expected to start construction in March 2022 and open in September 2025 with the Wenling-Yuhuan section of Hangzhou-Taizhou high-speed railway.
