Production

The official announcement for Bob Biswas was made by Red Chillies Entertainment on 25 November 2019, with Abhishek Bachchan playing Biswas and the film serving as spin-off to the 2012 thriller Kahaani . [1] It is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma via Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment alongside Sujoy Ghosh's Bound Script Production, and directed by debutante Diya Annapurna Ghosh. [2] In January 2020, the makers cast Chitrangada Singh as the lead actress. [3] The film went on floors on 24 January 2020. The film stars Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and in the lead roles. This is Alia's first project as a producer.
