Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. was an Atlanta, Georgia-based television conglomorate. Founded by Ted Turner, it merged with Time Warner on October 10, 1996. Among its main properties were its namesake TBS, TNT, CNN, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, and TruTV. It also licensed or had ownership interests in international versions of these properties. The headquarters of Turner's properties are located in both the CNN Center in Downtown Atlanta, and the Turner Broadcasting campus off Techwood Drive in Midtown Atlanta, which also houses Turner Studios.

On October 6, 1999, this version started to air in Hungarian also. Later, Nickelodeon debuted in the Czech Republic on February 10, 2010, in Croatia on November 18, 2011, in Ukraine on March 2012, in Slovenia and Serbia on April 28, 2013 and in Bulgaria on November 4, 2013. Grizzy and the Lemmings is a French CGI animated series produced for France Télévisions, Boomerang and Family Channel. Presumably inspired by Oggy and the Cockroaches, the series was announced on 22 June 2015, and debuted in many countries in fall 2016. There is no dialogue in the show, except in India, where voiceovers are added.In India, this show is aired on Pogo TV and some other countries it is aired on Cartoon Network.

Cartoonito used to be available as a channel in its own right in Southeast Asia, owned and operated by Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, Inc. and also as a branded block on Cartoon Network Arabic. The brand is aimed at young children under the age of 6 years.
