Borek [ˈbɔrɛk] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wartkowice, within Poddębice County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. [1]

Gmina Wartkowice is a rural gmina in Poddębice County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. Its seat is the village of Wartkowice, which lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Poddębice and 39 km (24 mi) north-west of the regional capital Łódź.

It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. The only other town in the county is Uniejów, lying 14 km (9 mi) north-west of Poddębice.
