Florian Ceynowa Polish politician and academic

Florian Ceynowa was a doctor, political activist, writer, and linguist. He undertook efforts to identify Kashubian language, culture and traditions. He and Alexander Hilferding were not the only ones to study the language and legends of the Kashubians, but they had the greatest influence and prompted others to take up investigations. The individual nature of the Kashubian character and language was first described by Hilferding, to whom we are indebted for the first data about the range of Kashubian dialects. In 1856, he and Ceynowa traveled to the Kashubia. He awakened Kashubian self-identity, thereby opposing Germanisation and Prussian authority, and Polish nobility and clergy. He believed in a separate Kashubian identity and strove for a Russian-led pan-Slavic federation. He strove to create a program aimed at the introduction of a Kashubian standard in grammar, pronunciation and spelling, based on the spirit of the 1848 Revolution. He compiled treatises on Kashubian grammar, and published Kashubian texts along with their translations into other Slavic languages. An important person for Kashubian literature, he was also a translator of Russian texts into Kashubian language.

Two of the highest waterfalls in Bulgaria are located near the town of Vratsa, North-West Bulgaria. One is named Skaklia and the other one Borov Kamak. Skaklia is the name of two different waterfalls in Bulgaria. The one near Vratsa is 130 metres high and is located 1.5 kilometres south of the town behind the Kaleto hill top 43°10′57″N23°32′59″E. It is considered one of the highest waterfalls in Bulgaria and on the Balkan peninsula. Nevertheless, this remains a debatable question in Bulgaria until today, as this is a semi-active waterfall, not a constant one unlike the 124.5 metres high Raysko Praskalo also situated in Bulgaria. Water falls from the vertical Skaklia cliff when there is heavy raining or after the massive melting of snow at the end of winter or early spring, otherwise little water can be seen from farther distances. When active, however, the waterfall is easy to recognize from tourists standing many kilometres away from it, especially if they approach it from the north-west parts of Bulgaria. In the waterfall area a lot of remains from the ancient Bulgarian village Patleina have been found. Beautiful throughout the entire year it overlooks the town of Vratsa and the Vratsa lowlands. The waterfall is a summit spot of different goat routes. The Skaklia cliff itself is situated in a difficult to reach area and regardless of its clear visibility from the city, remains a difficult spot to reach by the majority of the tourists visiting Vratsa.

Sirinić or Sirinićka Župa was a župa of Medieval Serbia. Today it exists as a historical term for a region that covers 247 km2 (95 sq mi), including all of the Štrpce municipality in Kosovo, which borders it mostly overlaps, hence the article also comprises the History of Štrpce. The region is inhabited by mostly ethnic Serbs, who, as a result of isolation, have maintained archaic folk customs, folklore and language.
