Brad White (born August 13, 1982) is an American football coach who is currently the defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach at the University of Kentucky.

Playing career

White turned down an offer to play college football at Yale to walk-on at Georgia, but did not play a season with the Bulldogs, opting to transfer after head coach Jim Donnan was fired and replaced by Mark Richt. He transferred to Wake Forest, where former Georgia assistant Brad Lambert was recently hired as their linebackers coach. [2]

In his first season at Wake Forest, he led the team in total tackles with 94, including 24 tackles against Navy, the most by a Wake Forest player during the Jim Grobe era. [3] He finished his career with 227 total tackles, while starting 34 of the 35 games he played in.

Coaching career

After working at Bank of America as a portfolio management analyst for a couple of years, White joined the coaching staff of his alma mater Wake Forest as a graduate assistant. [4] He was named the safeties coach at Murray State in 2009 and spent one season there before moving on to coaching the inside linebackers at Air Force, working under former Wake Forest offensive coordinator Troy Calhoun. [5] He joined the Indianapolis Colts in 2012 as a defensive quality control coach and worked his way up to outside linebackers coach in 2015, spending six seasons in total with the Colts.

White was named the outside linebackers coach at Kentucky in 2018 as the 10th on-field assistant coach, joining his former defensive coordinator at Wake Forest, Dean Hood, who was the special teams coordinator at Kentucky at the time. [6] He was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2019 after Matt House left to accept an NFL coaching position. [7] [8]

After the 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team won the national championship, Herrmann received the Frank Broyles Award as the top assistant coach in the nation. He also served as the New York Jets' linebackers coach from 2006 to 2008. He was Defensive Coordinator for the New York Guardians and for the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL.

Ted Monachino is an American football coach who is currently the defensive line coach at North Carolina. He was hired by the Tar Heels in 2023 as Senior Defensive Analyst before being elevated to the defensive line position following the departures of Tim Cross and Gene Chizik. A longtime assistant in the National Football League (NFL), Monachino coached for several teams, including most recently as outside linebackers coach for the Atlanta Falcons. Monachino also coached for Missouri in 2018 and served as the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2016 to 2017. He was also formerly the linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens from 2010 to 2015. He was part of the Ravens' coaching staff that won Super Bowl XLVII.

Gregory Manusky is an American football coach and former linebacker who currently serves as the inside linebackers coach for the Denver Broncos. Manusky started his coaching career as a linebacker coach for two teams over six seasons. From there, he transitioned to a defensive coordinator for four teams over 12 seasons, totaling 19 seasons as a defensive coach. Prior to coaching, Manusky played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for three teams over 12 seasons. Manusky played college football at Colgate University and high school football at Dallas High School.

Steven Craig Morrison is a retired professional American football linebacker who played for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 1998. He is currently the associate head coach/linebackers coach at Bowling Green Falcons football. He previously served as the linebackers coach for the Eastern Michigan Eagles football team, on the coaching staff at Western Michigan, and as the linebackers coach at Syracuse Orange football. Prior to these professional experiences, he had excelled in college football as an All-Big Ten Conference inside linebacker from 1990 to 1994 for the Michigan Wolverines, whom he served as captain. In high school, he had been a Detroit Free Press first-team All-State (Michigan) and second-team All-Midwest selection in football and an All-American in lacrosse.

Dean Scott Hood is an American former college football coach who currently works as the Director of Player Development at the University of Kentucky. He was the head football coach at Murray State University from 2020 to 2023 and at Eastern Kentucky University from 2008 to 2015. His inaugural 2008 season ended successfully as he led the Colonels to the 2008 Ohio Valley Conference football title.
