Breage, Germoe and Sithney (Cornish: Eglosbrek, Germogh ha Merthersydhni) [1] was an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom which returned one member to sit on Cornwall Council between 2013 and 2021. It was abolished at the 2021 local elections, being succeeded by Porthleven, Breage and Germoe and Crowan, Sithney and Wendron.

Extent

Breage, Germoe and Sithney represented the villages of Praa Sands, Germoe, Breage, Sithney, Prospidnick, Carleen, Godolphin Cross, Boscreege and Ashton as well as the hamlets of Newtown, Hendra, Rinsey, Rinsey Croft, Sithney Green, Crowntown, Trew, Polladras, Balwest, Great Work, Trescowe and Tresowes Green. Parts of Nancegollan, Coverack Bridges and Lowertown are also included and are shared with Crowan and Wendron division. The division covered 4,925 hectares in total. [2]

The nearby hamlet of Rinsey Croft is located 1 km to the north-east. The nearby cliffs and beach are owned and managed by the National Trust and part of Rinsey East Cliff is designated as the Porthcew Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its geological interest. The South West Coast Path passes through the property. Rinsey lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Kerrier Rural District was a local government division of Cornwall in England, UK, between 1934 and 1974. The rural district was created in 1934 through the abolition of East Kerrier Rural District, Helston Rural District and Redruth Rural District.

Wendron was an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom which returned one member to sit on Cornwall Council from 2009 to 2013. From 2009 until his death in 2011, Mike Clayton represented the division as an Independent. Loveday Jenkin, the former leader of Mebyon Kernow and the runner up in the 2009 election, won the ensuing by-election and represented the division until it was abolished in 2013.
