Charles E. Mills Secondary School (CEMSS) opened in 1966 under the name Sandy Point High School (SPHS). Charles E. Mills is a public high school in Sandy Point Town, Saint Anne Sandy Point Parish, Saint Kitts and Nevis. [2] The school was renamed in September 2010 by the federal government in order to recognize Charles Egbert Mills, who helped introduce educational reform in the region.
Established 1966 in the town of Sandy Point, this high school served the communities of HalfWay Tree to Saddlers. It is one of two high schools on the western side of the island. The school has been one of the top performing schools in Sports and Academics in the Federation over the years.[ citation needed ]
In 2010, The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis renamed the Sandy Point High School after the late Charles E. Mills. [3]
In 2019, the school won 79 medals in the regional TDC interschool Championships held at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium in Bird Rock, with 29 gold, 27 silver and 23 bronze medals. [4] [5]

At the time, George Lewis was the editor. It is an organ of the Saint Kitts and Nevis Labour Party and the Saint Kitts and Nevis Trades and Labour Union. At the time, it was the sole daily newspaper in the country. The newspaper frequently published allegations of corruption in the rival People's Action Movement.

Dame Constance Viola Mitcham, is a politician in Saint Kitts and Nevis. She was the first woman elected to the National Assembly for that country. She was also the first woman to serve as acting prime minister for the country.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Saint Kitts and Nevis is part of the ongoing viral pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which was confirmed to have reached Saint Kitts and Nevis on 24 March 2020. By 19 May, all cases had recovered, with the disease reappearing on 4 July. By 10 August, all cases had again recovered.
