Chris Motionless points out that his greatest influence was Davey Havok, vocalist and frontman for the rock band AFI and also claims to be a fan of artists like Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Korn, and Misfits. [1]

In 2005, while he was in high school with Angelo Parente, Frank Polumbo, and Kyle White, they decided to form Motionless in White, releasing a demo that same year with a very pop-punk style.

Currently to date, Chris Motionless is the only original member of the band as well as the leader and lead vocalist. In addition to being a great vocalist, he is characterized by his great humility and being a low profile person who has always shown great appreciation towards his fans, stating that he has the best fans in the world.

He has composed six studio albums ( Creatures , Infamous , Reincarnate , Graveyard Shift , Disguise , and Scoring the End of the World ), two EPs ( The Whorror and When Love Met Destruction ), and a demo called Motionless in White.

In July 2017, he appeared as a guest singer for In This Moment at the Freedom Hall/Lancaster Convention Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where they performed the song "Black Wedding". [2]

In December 2022, Chris suffered an upper respiratory infection while he and his band were on tour with Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, and Atreyu. They had to cancel an appearance at the TCC in Tucson, Arizona because of that. [3]

Personal life

Chris Motionless has been a "straight edge" person his whole life. [4] He likes animals and was a vegetarian for a while, but gave it up due to dietary difficulties while on tour. He is currently vegan. [5] He is also considered a fan of Taylor Swift. [6] [7] When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Chris opened up about his mental health in decline and his inability to go on tour during that time. [8] He even attended therapy for much of 2020 and received some support from some of his fans. [9] When it came to his political stances, Chris Motionless expressed his support for the Black Lives Matter movement and his distaste for then-President Donald Trump on his Twitter page following the murder of George Floyd and the riots that followed. [10]

One person who saw Chris Motionless as an influence was Australian wrestler Rhea Ripley, as she quoted she was a fan of Motionless in White and claimed to be slowly morphing into Chris. [11] [12] In September 2022, Ripley requested for Chris Motionless to provide vocals for a heavier and darker version of her theme entry music "Demon in Your Dreams". [13] Chris agreed to perform such a version for her entry theme for Ripley and hailed her as a hero to Motionless in White. After working with WWE recordings, he went to Twitter to announce the release of Ripley's entry theme song. [14] [15]
