Christopher Bernard Porter is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Hawke's Bay Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL). Known for his large afro hairstyle and giant vertical leap, he created excitement early in his career with his dunking and rebounding abilities. Largely seen as too undersized to play power forward at the NBA level, his style fit in perfectly with coach Cliff Ellis' style of full court pressure while playing at Auburn.
The General Land Office Building, completed in 1857, in Austin, Texas is the oldest surviving state government office building in the city and the first building designed by a university-trained architect. The building features a dramatic medieval castle style known as Rundbogenstil, or "rounded arch" around the windows and doors. There is also a Norman style influence in the castle-like parapets. The exterior walls are limestone rubble smoothed over with stucco and scored to simulate cut stone blocks.

Frederic Hutchinson "Bunk" Porter, Sr., sometimes referred to as Frederick Hutchinson Porter, was an American architect based in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was active from 1911 to approximately 1965. He designed many of Cheyenne's most important public and commercial buildings and also designed several buildings at the University of Wyoming, including War Memorial Stadium and the Agriculture Building. A number of his works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historical Places.
