As Legion State Park Historic District, the state park entered the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. It is managed by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
Roosevelt State Park is a public recreation area located off Interstate 20 on the southwest side of Morton, Mississippi. The state park surrounds 150-acre (61 ha) Shadow Lake at the western edge of Bienville National Forest, between Jackson and Meridian. It is managed by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
Oconee State Park is a state park located in the Blue Ridge Mountain region of South Carolina. This 1165-acre (472 ha) park has several recreational opportunities to choose from. Watoga State Park is a state park located near Seebert in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The largest of West Virginia's state parks, it covers slightly over 10,100 acres (41 km2). Nearby parks include the Greenbrier River Trail, which is adjacent to the park, Beartown State Park, and Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park. Also immediately adjacent to the park is the 9,482-acre Calvin Price State Forest. It is one of the darkest night skies of all of West Virginia State Parks.
Pickett Civilian Conservation Corps Memorial State Park is a Tennessee state park in the upper Cumberland Mountains. It is located in Pickett County, northeast of the city of Jamestown, and is adjacent to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The park is located on 19,200 acres (78 km2) of wilderness including caves, natural bridges, and other rock formations. About 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) are managed by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation as a state park, and the remainder of the property is managed by the Tennessee Division of Forestry as a state forest.
Giant City State Park is an Illinois state park on 4,000 acres (1,619 ha) in Jackson and Union Counties, Illinois, United States. Illinois acquired more than 1,100 acres (450 ha) in 1927, and dedicated the park as Giant City State Park. A lodge and visitor center welcome state park guests.
Table Rock State Park is a 3,083-acre (12.48 km2) park at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Pickens County, South Carolina. The park includes Pinnacle Mountain, the tallest mountain totally within the state.
Crystal Lake State Park is a day-use state park and historic site in Barton, Vermont, United States. It is located at 96 Bellwater Avenue, off Willoughby Lake Road just east of the village, at the northwestern end of 763-acre (309 ha) Crystal Lake. It features a sandy beach with swimming area, and a bath house built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). A cottage is available for rental. The park was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on August 30, 2005, for its association with the CCC.
Paris Mountain State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of South Carolina, located five miles (8 km) north of Greenville. Activities available in the 1,540-acre (6 km2) park include hiking, biking, swimming and picnicking. The 13-acre (52,609 m2) Lake Placid offers swimming and fishing. Canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats are seasonally available for rental; private boats are not permitted. Camping is allowed and campsites range from rustic, back country sites to paved sites with water and electricity hook-ups. The Lowell Ranger Station compound is in the Coronado National Forest of southern Arizona. It is located in Pima County, near Tucson.
The Civilian Conservation Corps Powder Magazine in Capitol Reef National Park, Utah, was used in the 1930s to store explosives for use by Civilian Conservation Corps laborers in the construction of improvements to the park. Much of the CCC's work in the park involved the quarrying of sandstone blocks and slabs, which required explosives. The magazine was built about 1938 in association with CCC Camp NM-2, later called NP-6, located to the west of Fruita at Chimney Rock. The Fruita ranger station and the powder magazine are the only structures remaining from the CCC tenure in the park.
Roper House Complex, also known as Camp Oolenoy and Elizabeth Ellison House, is a historic home located near Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina. It was built in 1856, and enlarged and remodeled by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) with American Craftsman influences in about 1937. Also on the property are three contributing outbuildings; a smokehouse, garage, and chicken coop. It was the home of Manning Thomas Roper, first superintendent of Table Rock State Park. He also provided the land for both CCC camps and also provided the right-of-way for the original park entrance. In 1952, the Roper House became part of the Table Rock State Park, Camp Oolenoy complex.
Table Rock Civilian Conservation Corps Camp Site is a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp site located near Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina. It contains remnants of the CCC construction of Table Rock State Park between 1935 and 1941, including the recreation hall chimney, bulletin board with adjacent benches, grotto fountain, and basin.
Civilian Conservation Corps Quarry No. 1 and Truck Trail is a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) quarry site located near Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina. The site is associated with the CCC construction of Table Rock State Park between 1935 and 1941. It is one of four quarry sites used for materials in the construction of park structures and facilities at the park. The truck trail was used by CCC workers to gain access to the quarry.
Upton State Forest is a publicly owned forest with recreational features primarily located in the town of Upton, Massachusetts, with smaller sections in the towns of Hopkinton and Westborough. The state forest encompasses nearly 2,800 acres (1,100 ha) of publicly accessible lands and includes the last remaining Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp in Massachusetts, built in Rustic style. The CCC campground was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
The Sugar Creek Vista Overlook is a historic scenic overlook in Ouachita National Forest. It is located on Polk County Road 64, just south of Dicks Gap. The overlook is a simple roadside pullout on the west side of the road, with an angular retaining wall about 84 feet (26 m) long. The wall was built out of quarried novaculite stone set with grapevine mortar joints in 1935 by a crew of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). It is one of only two CCC-built overlooks in the national forest, and the only one built with these particular materials.
Beeds Lake State Park is located northwest of Hampton, Iowa, United States. It was listed has a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places as Beeds Lake State Park, Civilian Conservation Corps Area in 1990. At the time of its nomination it contained 21 resources, which included one contributing building, 15 contributing structures, and five non-contributing structures. The 319-acre (129 ha) park surrounds a 99-acre (40 ha) reservoir. It features hiking trails, boating, fishing, swimming, camping, picnic areas and shelters, lodges and concessions.
Maidstone State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Vermont. The park is located in the town of Maidstone in Essex County in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. One of the state's most remote parks, it provides public access to the 796-acre (322 ha) glacial Maidstone Lake in Maidstone State Forest. The park was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps and opened in 1938. Activities include fishing, hiking, camping, boating, wildlife watching, and picnicking. The park is open from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend; fees are charged for day use and camping.
Civilian Conservation Corp Camp F-10, also called the Rockerville Civilian Conservation Corp Camp, is a historic district on Silver Mountain Road, 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Rapid City, South Dakota. Between 1933 and 1935, it functioned as a base camp for Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) workers who were employed on multiple construction and forestry projects in the area during the Great Depression. The camp was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004; three buildings and the remains of a fireplace are included in the listing.
