Club Morelos was a Mexican football club who participated in the 1920-21 Liga Mexicana and the 1921 Campeonato del Centenario. Both tournaments were held during the football championship of Mexico.

History

The club was founded in 1920 under the direction of Margarito Cejudo, a football enthusiast of Morelos. The team had a very short stint that only lasted from 1920-1922. Some of the players that were in the team were the founders of México FC. They played in San Pedro de los Pinos, then a small suburb of Mexico City.

The 2003 CONCACAF Champions' Cup was the 38th edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CONCACAF region, the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. It was won by Club Toluca after a 5-4 aggregate win over Monarcas Morelia in the final. The tournament was held between March 6 and October 8. The 16-team format was scrapped for an eight-team format in 2004.

The Pumas Morelos was a football club that played in the Segunda División in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. The Pumas Morelos are affiliated to Pumas UNAM. The most goals scored were made by Alex Castańeda which were 36. The team was bought by AMRH International Soccer alongside former players Jorge Campos and Claudio Suárez in 2012. The team continued to play in the Clausura 2013 before being dissolved as Pumas Morelos.

David Patiño is a retired Mexican football forward. He obtained a total number of 28 caps for the Selección de fútbol de México between 1993 and 1996, and was a squad member at the 1993 Copa América. He made his debut on 10 February 1993.

Colibris was the fifth professional club in the state of Morelos to play in the Primera División de México, Zacatepec being the first in 1948, followed by Marte, who moved from México City to Cuernavaca in 1953, Cuautla in 1955 and Oaxtepec in 1982. The club played only six months in the top league before been relegated in 2003. That same year the club was sold to Tijuana where it became Trotamundos Tijuana. The Liga Mexicana de Fútbol Amateur Association, known as the Primera Fuerza, was an amateur football league founded in Mexico in 1902 with five clubs: "Orizaba A.C.", "Pachuca A.C.", "Reforma A.C.", "Mexico Cricket Club" and "British Club".
