BigBang is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of three members: G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. Originally a five-piece band, Seungri retired from the entertainment industry in March 2019 and T.O.P left in May 2023. Dubbed the "Kings of K-pop", they helped spread the Korean Wave internationally and are considered one of the most influential acts in K-pop. They are known for their trendsetting musical experimentation, self-production, and stage presence.
Kwon Ji-yong, best known as G-Dragon (지드래곤), is a South Korean rapper, known as the "King of K-pop". South Korean rapper G-Dragon began his career as a member of South Korean boy band Big Bang. His discography as a solo artist began in 2009, and includes three studio albums, two extended plays, one collaboration album, four live albums and several other singles.
GD&TOP is the debut album of South Korean hip-hop duo GD & TOP, members of Big Bang. Released on December 24, 2010, the album marks the first official collaboration between the two artists. The duo promoted the album extensively, including a worldwide premiere showcase and numerous performances. Three singles were released for promotion: "High High", "Oh Yeah", and "Knockout". While "High High" went on to become a chart-topper, the latter two singles peaked at number 2 and 3 respectively.
One of a Kind is the first extended play of South Korean rapper G-Dragon. It was released on September 15, 2012, digitally, and September 18 physically, through YG Entertainment. The EP consists of seven songs all written or co-written, and co-composed by G-Dragon himself.

Coup d'Etat is the second studio album by South Korean rapper G-Dragon, member and leader of the K-pop group Big Bang. The album was initially released on iTunes. The first five tracks of the album were released on September 2, 2013, the next seven tracks were released on September 5, and physical copies were released on September 13. The album contains the single "MichiGO" which was released earlier in 2013.
"Niliria" is a song South Korean rapper G-Dragon, featuring American recording artist Missy Elliott from G-Dragon's second studio album, Coup d'Etat (2013). To date, it remains as one of the six songs from the album to enter the top ten on South Korea's Gaon Singles Chart. On 2 December 2013, the song ranked number 32 on Complex's The 50 Best Songs of 2013.
Rise is the second studio album by South Korean recording artist Taeyang, member of the boy group Big Bang. It is his first album in four years since Solar in 2010. Rise became the third highest charting K-pop album, and also the highest charting K-pop album by a Korean soloist on the Billboard 200 chart by debuting at number 112, number one on the Billboard World Albums Chart, number one on Heatseekers Albums Chart. The album also debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart. A Japanese edition of Rise was packaged as part of Taeyang's Japanese debut album, Rise + Solar & Hot, on August 13, 2014.
"Ringa Linga" is a song recorded by South Korean singer Taeyang. It was released as a digital single on November 8, 2013, through YG Entertainment. Later, it became the first single to be released from his second studio album Rise (2014). It was written and composed by Big Bang bandmate G-Dragon and Shockbit.
"Good Boy" is a song recorded by South Korean duo GD X Taeyang, members of the boy band Big Bang. It was released on November 21, 2014, as the second hip-hop project from YG Entertainment, the first being "Niliria" by G-Dragon featuring Missy Elliott a year prior. The single was written by G-Dragon, who also produced it along with the Fliptones and Freedo. "Good Boy" became a chart-topper on Billboard's World Digital Songs and a Top 5 hit on the Gaon Digital Chart. Additionally, a physical single was released and topped the Gaon Albums Chart.
"MichiGO (미치Go)" is a single recorded by South Korean hip hop artist G-Dragon. It was released digitally on April 1, 2013, through Line. It's the first single from Coup d'Etat.
Kwon Ji Yong is the second extended play (EP) by South Korean rapper G-Dragon, released digitally on June 8, 2017 by YG Entertainment. The EP was his first release in four years, following his second studio album Coup d'Etat (2013). The physical release was made on a USB flash drive in lieu of a traditional compact disc. The EP was generally well-received by critics who praised G-Dragon's honesty and vulnerability on the EP. This was G-Dragon's final release before his military enlistment on February 27, 2018, as well as before his departure from YG in 2023.
"Bullshit" is a song by South Korean rapper G-Dragon. It was released on June 8, 2017 through YG Entertainment as part of his second extended play (EP) Kwon Ji Yong. The song was co-produced by G-Dragon, Teddy Park, Cawlr, Future Bounce, and Choice37, with lyrics penned by G-Dragon. The track was originally slated to serve as the EP's title track, but was replaced with "Untitled, 2014" on the day of its release.
"Crooked" is a song recorded by South Korean rapper G-Dragon, serving as the third single for his second studio album Coup d'Etat (2013). It was written and produced by Teddy and G-Dragon. A pop-punk song, "Crooked" peaked at number three at the Gaon Digital Chart and became one of his most successful singles.
"Eyes, Nose, Lips" is a song recorded by South Korean singer Taeyang, serving as the second single for his second studio album Rise (2014). It was co-produced by Teddy Park, Bekuh Boom, Dee.P and P.K, while it was written by Teddy and Taeyang. The song peaked atop the Gaon Digital Chart and the K-pop Hot 100, and went on to become the second best-performing single of 2014.
"Crayon" is a song recorded by South Korean rapper G-Dragon, serving as the third single of his first extended play One of a Kind (2012). It was written and produced by G-Dragon and Teddy Park.
EDM trap is a fusion genre of hip hop, rave music and EDM, that originated in the early 2010s on peaking popularity of big room house and trap music genres. It blends elements of trap, which is an offshoot of Southern hip hop, with elements of electronic dance music like build-ups, drops, productions with dynamic rave synthesizers, sound designs and breakdowns. As it was popularized, it increasingly began incorporating more pop elements.
"Black" is a song by South Korean rapper G-Dragon of BigBang from his second studio album, Coup d'Etat (2013). Two versions of the song were originally released: one featuring South Korean singer Jennie of Blackpink, and another featuring American singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira. The Japanese version of the song features South Korean singer Park Bom of 2NE1.
