Craigmount may refer to:

Craigmount High School

Craigmount High School is a non-denominational secondary school in Edinburgh, Scotland with 1,268 pupils located in the west of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is situated between Corstorphine, East Craigs and Drumbrae and it moved into new premises at the beginning of the 2003 academic year. As of April 2016, the new building has been closed down by Edinburgh Council; due to safety concerns. Measures are in place to continue classes in other premises. The new building has been reopened as of August 2016 as the building met the minimum safety standards.

Craigmount School was a private school originally for boys, but for most of its history for girls, in Edinburgh. It opened in 1874 and closed in 1966.

Murrayfield is an affluent area to the west of Edinburgh city centre in Scotland. It is to the east of Corstorphine and north of Balgreen and Roseburn. The A8 road runs east–west through the south of the area. Murrayfield is often considered to include the smaller neighbouring areas of Ravelston and Roseburn.

East Craigs is a residential district of Edinburgh located in the north-west of the city, on the western flanks of Corstorphine Hill. Drumbrae or Drum Brae is the name of a suburb of west Edinburgh, Scotland generally considered to be part of the neighbouring larger areas of Corstorphine and Clermiston. This is a commuter settlement as many people who live in the area travel to the centre of town to attend work.

Clermiston

Clermiston is a suburb of Edinburgh, Scotland, to the west of the city and to the immediate north of Corstorphine, on the western slopes of Corstorphine Hill. Clermiston estate, built in 1954, was part of a major 1950s house-building programme to tackle overcrowding in Leith and Gorgie. The area is now home to more than 20,000 people, and abuts onto Drumbrae, Clerwood and Corstorphine.

Meggetland Sports Complex

Meggetland Sports Complex, owned by Edinburgh Leisure, is a Sports Pavilion used for a number of International fixtures across the five outdoor facilities they hold; 3G Pitch, Astroturf, Football Pitches, Rugby Pitches and Cricket Pitches. The football pitches are used for youth cup finals based in the south of Scotland, the most recent one being Royal High S2 4-4 Craigmount High S2, the match was taken to penalty’s when Edinburgh City winger, Finlay Halton slots home the game winning penalty shootout goal to give Royal High the Cup. They regularly host matches for lots of clubs and groups, including Boroughmuir Rugby Club, Boroughmuir Hockey Club, Edinburgh Cala Hockey Club, Boroughmuir Thistle Football Club and Boroughmuir Cricket Club. In addition, the ground also hosted two Edinburgh Rugby matches during the 2013–14 Pro 12 season. They hosted Edinburgh against the Ospreys on 28 February, Cardiff Blues on 11 April and Munster on 3 May.

Colin George Keir is a Scottish politician, formerly the Scottish National Party (SNP) Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Edinburgh Western constituency 2011−2016. Before being elected as a MSP, he was a councillor.

The Donald Dewar Memorial Debating Tournament is a national debating competition held throughout the year in Scottish Secondary Schools. It is one of the leading debating tournaments in Scotland and is organised annually by the Law Society of Scotland. It was created in 1999 and was held in order to remember the life, work and passion of Donald Dewar, the first First Minister of Scotland. Since 2006, the final of the tournament has been held in the debating chamber of The Scottish Parliament, in Edinburgh. The 2016 competition had 128 teams participating, with winners Finlay Allmond and Caitlin Sherret from Nairn Academy. Craigmount High School have won the competition a record three times- in 2007 2012, and 2014. Glasgow Academy and Robert Gordon's College are the only other schools to have won the competition more than once.

Edinburgh District was a select provincial amateur rugby union team that drew its players mainly from the Edinburgh area, as well as others from the rest of east central Scotland; roughly corresponding to the old Lothian regional council area.
