Brian William Pillman was an American professional wrestler and professional football player best known for his appearances in Stampede Wrestling in the 1980s and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in the 1990s.
An "I quit" match is a type of professional wrestling match in which the only way to win is to make the opponent say the words "I quit". It is a variation of submission match as it can only be won by submission, but it is special in that the submission has to take the form of the forfeiting opponent saying "I quit". Generally, whenever a wrestler knocks down their opponent with a move or inflicts a submission move, the opponent will be asked—either by the referee or the opponent—to say the words into a microphone. "I quit" matches are commonly used to settle kayfabe grudges and embarrass rivals since saying "I quit" is usually a sign of admitted inferiority.
Major League Wrestling, LLC (MLW) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in New Rochelle, New York. It was founded in 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by former WWE writer Court Bauer before the promotion moved their bases to New York City and later to Orlando, Florida. The promotion ran several live events and tapings for a television show named Underground TV which aired on the Sunshine Network. Founder Court Bauer described MLW's product as "the most violent, hard-hitting action mixed with cutting edge storylines", also described as "Hybrid Wrestling" a mix of wrestling styles; however, MLW closed in 2004 due to shortage of money after a few sponsorship exits.

Hart Legacy Wrestling (HLW) is a Canadian professional wrestling promotion operated by some members of the Hart wrestling family, it was founded mainly by Teddy Hart and his associates. Smith Hart was also involved with the promotion prior to his death on July 2, 2017, his long-time partner Stacey Angel is the current owner of the promotion. Bret Hart has no involvement in HLW.
Axel Tischer is a German professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the NXT UK brand under the ring name Alexander Wolfe, as a member of the Imperium stable alongside Walter, Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner. Under his real name, Tischer competed on the European independent circuit. Tischer debuted in WWE's as part of the stable Sanity, where he and Eric Young won the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2017. He is currently signed to Major League Wrestling (MLW), and alongside Davey Boy Smith Jr., is one half of the New Era Hart Foundation. Pillman is a second generation wrestler, as he is the son of professional wrestler Brian Pillman.

Alex Rohde, better known by his ring names Alexander Hammerstone or simply Hammerstone is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Major League Wrestling, where he is a member of The Dynasty and was the inaugural MLW National Openweight Champion.
The MLW National Openweight Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion Major League Wrestling (MLW). The title was unveiled on April 18, 2019. The title's openweight nature, a division more common in Japanese professional wrestling, means that both heavyweight and middleweight wrestlers are eligible to challenge for it. The current and inaugural champion is Alexander Hammerstone, who his in its first reign, after defeating Brian Pillman Jr. in a four-man single-elimination tournament final.
