Carl Dobson (born 31 January 1983), better known by his stage name Crazy Titch, is a British grime MC who is now serving a life sentence for murder. Crazy Titch was a successful and well-known grime MC during his active period. [1]
Dobson was born in Plaistow, East London. As a teenager Dobson spent five years in Feltham and Aylesbury Young Offenders' Institute for robbery, handling stolen goods, theft, burglary and criminal damage;[ citation needed ] On his release in 2003 Dobson turned his attention to grime music. Dobson became estranged from his brother, Durrty Goodz, during his childhood, but they later reconnected and became musical collaborators.
He gained underground fame due to his membership of grime collective Boyz In Da Hood, which included various artists including half-brother Durrty Goodz. Amongst his better known work was "Sing Along" (2004) and "Gully" on which he collaborated with Sugababes' Keisha Buchanan. He also produced a mixtape entitled Crazy Times Vol.1, and appeared on the grime DVD Practice Hours. In 2006 he made an appearance as himself along with many other MCs on the Channel 4 show Dubplate Drama. Crazy Titch had a reputation for violence during his time in the grime scene. Notorious footage exists of a heated argument between Crazy Titch and Dizzee Rascal and of Crazy Titch allegedly kidnapping a rival and dumping them naked in the countryside. [2]
Dobson and his stepfather Anthony Green were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 21-year-old Richard Holmes on the Chingford Hall estate in Chingford in November 2005. Possibility for parole was set at a minimum of 30 years by which time he will be in his 50s. [3] Durrty Goodz was acquitted in the same trial and released a song about its events entitled "Letter 2 Titch" in 2007. [4] The MAC-10 submachine gun used in the murder was found four years after the killing; in February 2009 a local drug dealer was sentenced to seven years imprisonment for its possession. [5] In 2010 he released his second mixtape, a sequel to 2005's Crazy Times, with the material having been recorded while incarcerated. [6] In 2017, Titch appeared on an interlude on Stormzy's album Gang Signs & Prayer , talking to Stormzy over the phone. [7]
In 2020, a lyric video was produced, titled "Voldemort," which included new audio from Titch. It was uploaded to YouTube to celebrate Titch's birthday in 2020. [8] [9]
Grime is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) that emerged in London in the early 2000s. It developed out of the earlier UK dance style UK garage, and draws influences from jungle, dancehall, and hip hop. The style is typified by rapid, syncopated breakbeats, generally around 140 beats per minute, and often features an aggressive or jagged electronic sound. Emceeing is a significant element of the style, and lyrics often revolve around gritty depictions of urban life.

Fraser Thorneycroft-Smith, known professionally as Fraser T. Smith, is an English record producer, songwriter and musician. Some of the singles he collaborated on include Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain", James Morrison's "Broken Strings", Tinchy Stryder's "Number 1" and Taio Cruz's "Break Your Heart". In 2016, Smith teamed up with Stormzy to produce his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer, which won Best Album at the 2018 Brit Awards. Earlier that year he produced seven tracks on Kano's Made in the Manor album and co-produced the debut EP from South London rapper Dave. Smith has also worked with Sam Smith.

His music has been played on national radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100, BBC Asian Network, and BBC Radio 1Xtra. Currently, Ghetts is signed to independent record label Disrupt, and released his debut studio album, Rebel with a Cause, on 9 March 2014. Known for his hard hitting lyrics and intricate rhyme schemes, he is associated and has toured internationally with such acts as Kano and was a member of NASTY Crew.

He is known for his lyricism, flow and wit on the mic.

Widner DeGruy, also known by his stage name Flow, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He began his music career with hip hop group, The Flamez and is the CEO of Flame Gang Music. In 2012, he signed to Lil Wayne's label Young Money Entertainment. That same year, Flow formed another group called L.A.T. with rappers Gudda Gudda and Kevin Gates. Flow would tour with labelmate Lil Wayne.

Stormzy's song "Shut Up", which was initially released as a freestyle on YouTube, became popular and peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart after he launched a campaign to reach Christmas number one.
Gang Signs & Prayer is the debut studio album by British rapper Stormzy. It was released on 24 February 2017 independently through #Merky Records while being distributed by ADA of Warner Music Group. It is Stormzy's first major commercial release, following the Dreamers Disease EP (2014). The album features guest appearances from fellow MCs Wretch 32, Ghetts and J Hus, along with singers Kehlani, Raleigh Ritchie and MNEK. It features production from Fraser T. Irving Ampofo Adjei, known professionally as Headie One, is a British rapper and singer. In 2018 he released his second solo mixtape, titled ‘The One’, which included the single "Know Better" featuring rapper RV, it became an "underground hit". Headie One is a member of the UK drill group OFB and is considered to be a pioneer innovator of the UK drill scene.

OFB, short for Original Farm Boys, is a British hip hop collective based in Broadwater Farm, North London. OFB is one of the most prominent UK drill groups.
Lord of the Mics is a series of recorded grime clashes, headed by Jammer and Chad 'Ratty' Stennett. Each edition of LOTM features grime MCs participating in recorded clashes, in which they 'battle' each other over grime instrumentals. Various notable grime MCs have participated in Lord of the Mics, such as Skepta, Wiley, Kano, and P Money. LOTM was originally launched in 2004. The first clash to be filmed for LOTM, Wiley versus Kano, was filmed in Jammer's basement. The series was originally only published on DVD. LOTM was the first platform that released filmed grime clashes.
Dean West, better known by his stage name Black the Ripper, was a British rapper, grime emcee, activist, cannabis activist, and entrepreneur from Edmonton, London. He ran his own record label, Dank of England, which expanded into a clothing line and cannabis accessory company. He was also known for his viral stunts of smoking cannabis in public places, which he hoped would lead to the outcome of legalised cannabis in the United Kingdom.
