Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia after the capital Belgrade and the capital of the autonomous province of Vojvodina. It is located in the southern portion of the Pannonian Plain on the border of the Bačka and Syrmia geographical regions. Lying on the banks of the Danube river, the city faces the northern slopes of Fruška Gora and it is the fifth largest of all cities on the Danube river. It is the largest Danube city that is not the capital of an independent state.
Liman is an urban neighborhood of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is located to the south of the city centre, along the Danube river, covering an area of 3.98 km2. It is a relatively new part of the city, built between 1960s and 1990s on what previously were marshes. It is divided into four parts, numbered by Roman numerals: Liman I, II, III and IV, which match the chronology of its development.

The Novi Sad Synagogue is a former Neolog Jewish congregation and synagogue, located on Jevrejska (Jewish) Street, in the city center of Novi Sad, in the province of Vojvodina, Serbia. Completed in 1909, the building was used as a synagogue until c. 1966; and subsequently used as cultural center since 2012. During its use, with a capacity of 900 worshipers, the synagogue was one of the largest synagogues in Central Europe.
Sterijino pozorje is an annual theater festival held since 1956 in the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, featuring the national theaters of Serbia and previously Yugoslavia. It is the most prestigious theater festival in the country.

Isidor Bajić Music School is a secondary school of music located in the city of Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia. Specifically, it is located at Cara Lazara Boulevard. The school was established on September 1, 1909. It is one of the 15 secondary schools in Novi Sad. The school was named after Isidor Bajić, a famous Serbian composer, pedagogue, and publisher, who was also the school's first principal and instructor of theory.

Tomi Janežič is a Slovenian theatre director, professor at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television (AGRFT) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a psychodrama psychotherapist. Katalin Ladik is a Hungarian poet, performance artist and actress. She was born in Újvidék, Kingdom of Hungary, and in the last 20 years she has lived and worked alternately in Novi Sad, in Budapest, Hungary and on the island of Hvar, Croatia. Parallel to her written poems she also creates sound poems and visual poems, performance art, writes and performs experimental music and audio plays. She is also a performer and an experimental artist. She explores language through visual and vocal expressions, as well as movement and gestures. Her work includes collages, photography, records, performances and happenings in both urban and natural environments.
Jugovizija was the Yugoslav national final to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, organized by the Yugoslav broadcaster Yugoslav Radio Television (JRT) and its subnational public broadcasting centers based in the capitals of each of the constituent republics of the Yugoslav federation: SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SR Croatia, SR Macedonia, SR Montenegro, SR Serbia and SR Slovenia and also the broadcasting services of the autonomous provinces within SR Serbia: SAP Kosovo and SAP Vojvodina. The first subnational public broadcasters to compete in 1961 were RTV Belgrade, RTV Ljubljana and RTV Zagreb, while the others joined in the following years.

The Correspondence Theatre is a specific type of theatrical organization and play, established in Novi Sad in 1973. This idea was theoretically and practically implemented by Mladen Dražetin from Novi Sad. It was the original model for the spread of theatrical culture among the broad masses.

Novi Sad Pride is a pride parade held in Novi Sad, second largest city in Serbia and administrative center of Vojvodina organized to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their allies. The event was organized in 2019 for the first time as a part of Novi Sad Pride Week held by the Social Center "Izađi," in cooperation with Belgrade Pride and supported by the City of Novi Sad.
