D'Youville Academy is a historic school building and nunnery in Plattsburgh in Clinton County, New York. It was built about 1878 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, cruciform plan brick structure on a raised stone foundation. The facade features a rounded 2-story bay, a five-gable roof dormer, and Mansard roof. The Academy was founded about 1878 and operated by the Grey Nuns, founded by Saint Marie-Marguerite d'Youville (1701-1771). [2] The Academy has since been folded into the Seton Catholic Central High School, and the building has since been converted into apartments.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. [1]
The First Free Will Baptist Church are a historic Free Will Baptist Church complex in Ashland, New Hampshire. The complex consists of three buildings: the brick church building, which was built in 1834; the old vestry, a brick building standing near the street which was built c. 1835 as a school and converted to a vestry in 1878; and the new vestry, a wooden structure added in 1899 to join the two brick buildings together. The church, a fine vernacular Federal style building when it was built, had its interior extensively restyled in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, primarily as a good example of modest Victorian church architecture. It now houses the Ashland Community Church.

Built in 1803, it is claimed to be the oldest standing co-educational school in the United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Central School was a historic school building located at Ticonderoga in Essex County, New York. It was built in 1906 and was a 2+1⁄2-story, eleven-bay-wide by seven-bay-deep brick building with Jacobean Revival style features. The features included parapeted gables, round arched entrances, and a steeply pitched multi-gabled roof. A rear 1+1⁄2-story addition had a slate hipped roof. It was built on the site of the Academy, Ticonderoga's first high school. It was used as a school until 1967; from 1967 to 1984 it was used as a civic center for community activities.
Ames Academy Building is a historic school building located at Ames, Montgomery County, New York. It was built in 1835 and is a two-story, rectangular, gable roofed, stone masonry building five bays long and two bays wide. The walls are constructed of cut limestone blocks. The Ames Academy received a charter from the New York State Board of Regents on February 5, 1839. It was used as a school until 1959. Since 1987 it has housed a local history museum.
Newtonville School is a historic school building located at Newtonville in Albany County, New York. It was built in 1925 and consists of a one-story, gable-roofed brick main block with a one-story, rectangular hipped roof wing. It is in the Colonial Revival style and features a wood portico with two slender, fluted Doric order columns. Atop the roof is an octagonal wood cupola with a copper roof. The school was converted to administrative use in 1954.
Clifton is a historic mansion located at Roslyn Harbor in Nassau County, New York. The main house is a large, 2+1⁄2-story, Flemish Revival building constructed about 1863 and altered twice between 1876 and 1932. It features a complex roof plan, including numerous gables in the forms of cross gables, wall dormers and roof dormers, most of which are Flemish gables with bold molding. Also on the property are a contributing boathouse and rustic gazebo.
House at 176 Prospect Avenue is a historic home located at Sea Cliff in Nassau County, New York. It was built in 1886 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, clapboard residence with a cross-gable, slate-covered roof in the Queen Anne style. It features a 3-story square tower with a hipped roof and board and batten cornice.
House at 195 Prospect Avenue is a historic home located at Sea Cliff in Nassau County, New York. It was built about 1890 and is a two-story house with decorative slate jerkinhead roof in the Late Victorian style. It features a three-bay shed-roof dormer that forms the second floor and covers the entrance porch. It is identical to the House at 199 Prospect Avenue.
House at 362 Sea Cliff Avenue is a historic home located at Sea Cliff in Nassau County, New York. It was built about 1875 and expanded in 1890. It consists of a three-bay, 2-story main section with a mansard roof and 1+1⁄2-story gable-roofed wing in the Second Empire style. It features a shed-roofed porch with scrollsawn corner brackets.
The Edward Harden Mansion, also known as Broad Oaks, is a historic home located on North Broadway in Sleepy Hollow, New York, United States, on the boundary between it and neighboring Tarrytown. It is a brick building in the Georgian Revival style designed by Hunt & Hunt in the early 20th century, one of the few mansions left of many that lined Broadway in the era it was built. Also on the property is a wood frame carriage house that predates it slightly. Both buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
North Salem Town Hall is a historic town hall located at Salem Center, Westchester County, New York. It was built about 1770 by the DeLancey family as a private home. It has been used for governmental and educational functions since 1773. It is a three-story frame building, covered in clapboard, five bays wide and three bays deep on a fieldstone foundation in a vernacular Georgian style. It has a gambrel roof topped by a six-sided cupola. From 1790 to 1884 it housed the North Salem Academy and, after 1886, the town offices of North Salem, New York.
Dow Academy was a historic school in Franconia, New Hampshire, United States. Founded in 1884, it served as the town's high school until 1958, after which its building, a Georgian Revival wood-frame building built in 1903, became a centerpiece of the Franconia College campus. The building was converted into condominium residences in 1983; it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
The Church of St. Mary, formerly the Church of St. Boniface, was a historic Roman Catholic church in Melrose, Minnesota, United States. The church and the adjacent 1907 rectory were listed together on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 for having local significance in the themes of European ethnic heritage and social history. The property was nominated to the Register as a manifestation of the importance of ethnic parishes in the cultural and religious life of Minnesota's rural German American populace in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Walpole Academy is a historic former school building on Main Street in Walpole, New Hampshire. It is now owned by the Walpole Historical Society and operated as a local history museum. Built in 1831, it is a fine rural example of a 19th-century Greek Revival academy building, which served the surrounding area as a private academy until 1853, and as Walpole's public high school until 1950. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
Hiram Lay Cobblestone Farmhouse, also known as the Cobblestone House at 1145 Old School House Road, is a historic home located at Tyre in Seneca County, New York. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, five bay, cobblestone farmhouse with Greek Revival style detailing. It has a side gable roof and one-story rear kitchen wing. The roof is topped by a hip roofed cupola. Also on the property is a contributing brick smokehouse. It is the only cobblestone building in Tyre and one of 18 remaining in Seneca County.
Brigham Academy is a historic school in Bakersfield, Vermont, United States. It was established in 1878 by the town after receiving a gift from philanthropist and native son Peter Bent Brigham, and served as a major regional secondary school until 1966. Its original building, a fine work of Second Empire architecture, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
