Jennifer Judith Jones OM is a Canadian curler. She was the Olympic champion in curling as skip of the Canadian team at the 2014 Sochi Games. Jones is the first female skip to go through the Games undefeated. The only male skip to achieve this was fellow Canadian Kevin Martin in 2010. Jones and her squad were the first Manitoba based curling team to win an Olympic gold medal. They won the 2008 World Women's Curling Championship and were the last Canadian women's team to do so until Rachel Homan in 2017. She won a second world championship in 2018. Jones represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
A bonspiel is a curling tournament, consisting of several games, often held on a weekend. Until the 20th century most bonspiels were held outdoors, on a frozen freshwater loch. Today almost all bonspiels are held indoors on specially prepared artificial ice.
Lesley Kaitlyn Lawes is a Canadian curler. Lawes was the long time third for the Jennifer Jones team that represented Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics where they won the gold medal. They were the first women's team to go through the Olympics undefeated and the first Manitoba based curling team to win at the Olympics. Lawes curled with John Morris in the mixed doubles event at the 2018 Winter Olympics where they won gold. This win made her and Morris the first Canadian curlers to win two Olympic gold medals, and Lawes was the first to win gold in two consecutive Olympics.
Chelsea Danielle Carey is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She is the 2016 and 2019 Canadian and Alberta women's champion skip and 2014 Manitoba provincial women's champion skip.
The 2012 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Manitoba's women's provincial curling championship, was held from January 25 to 29 at the Portage Credit Union Centre in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The winning team of Jennifer Jones, Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer and Dawn Askin represented Manitoba at the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Red Deer, Alberta, where they finished round robin with a 9–2 record, which was enough to finish 1st place and clinch a spot in the playoffs. Jones would lose both the 1–2 game and the semi-final before winning the bronze medal game over Quebec.
The Interlake Pharmacy Classic was an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that took place at the Stonewall Curling Club in Stonewall, Manitoba. The tournament was held in a modified double-knockout format. The tournament, started in 2004 as part of the World Curling Tour, was briefly excluded in 2009 but was re-added in 2010. Curlers from Manitoba have dominated the event.
The Whites Drug Store Classic was an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that took place at the Swan River Curling Club in Swan River, Manitoba. The tournament was held in a triple-knockout format. The tournament, started in 1998, was part of the World Curling Tour and has been held every year since its inception until 2015.
The 2011 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic was held from October 7 to 10 at the Calgary Curling Club in Calgary, Alberta. It was the first women's Grand Slam event of the 2011–12 curling season and the twenty-sixth time the tournament has been held. The purse for the event was CAD$54,000, and the winning team of Cathy Overton-Clapham of Manitoba, received CAD$14,000. Overton-Clapham defeated Alberta's Amy Nixon, who skipped for Shannon Kleibrink, in the final.

The tournament was held in a triple-knockout format. The tournament, started in 1998 as part of the World Curling Tour and was held until 2011. Curlers from Manitoba dominated the event. The event was cancelled in 2012.

The purse for the event was CAD$30,000, and the winner, Brent Gedak, received CAD$8,000. The event was held in a triple knockout format.
The Pharmasave Gimli Classic was a bonspiel, or curling tournament, that took place at either the Gimli Curling Club or the Gimli Recreation Centre in Gimli, Manitoba. It was part of the Manitoba Curling Tour and sometimes part of the World Curling Tour. It ran from at least 2002 to 2009, and has not been held since.
The Atkins Curling Supplies Classic is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that takes place at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event has also been hosted by the Charleswood Curling Club in Winnipeg and the East St. Paul Curling Club in East St. Paul, Manitoba. The tournament is held in a round-robin format and was part of the World Curling Tour from 2012 to 2019. It began in 2007. Prior to this it was just part of the Manitoba Curling Tour.

It was the second women's Grand Slam event of the 2012–13 curling season, and this edition of the event marked the ninth time that the tournament has been held. The purse for the event was CAD$60,000, of which the winner, Stefanie Lawton, received CAD$15,000. Lawton defeated Rachel Homan in the final with a score of 6–4.
Kerri Einarson is a Canadian Métis curler from Camp Morton, Manitoba, in the Rural Municipality of Gimli. Einarson is the four-time reigning women's national champion in curling, skipping her team to victory in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. She previously won silver in 2018. Einarson has won five Grand Slam of Curling events: the 2016 Boost National, 2019 Players' Championship, 2021 Players' Championship, 2022 Champions Cup, and 2022 Masters.

Kristy McDonald is a Canadian from Winnipeg, Manitoba. McDonald retired from 2016–2021, but returned to the playing for the 2021–22 season.
