David Robert Gilbert (born 29 December 1960) is a former Australian cricketer who played in nine Test matches and 14 One Day Internationals (ODIs) in 1985 and 1986. He played domestically for New South Wales,Gloucestershire and Tasmania. [1]
Gilbert received his chance at international cricket due to player bans as a result of rebel tours to South Africa. He performed reasonably well leading the attack,but did not attain distinction at the international level. He toured England,New Zealand and India with the Australian team. He also played 14 ODIs,taking 18 wickets at 30.66. He won the match award when he took 5 for 46 off 10 overs in Australia's victory over New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground in January 1986. [2]
He achieved greater success at first-class level,taking over 350 wickets. He took his best match figures of 13 for 118 for a Young Australia XI against Zimbabwe at Harare in October 1985:7 for 43 and 6 for 75 in the Australians' 65-run victory. [3] His best innings figures were 8 for 55 for Gloucestershire against Kent in August 1991. [4]
Since retiring,he has served at executive levels with Surrey,Sussex and New South Wales. He was subsequently a successful coach and cricket manager for Sussex and worked as the CEO of the New South Wales Cricket Association until 14 January 2013,when he resigned.[ citation needed ]
Stephen Rodger Waugh is an Australian former international cricketer and twin brother of cricketer Mark Waugh. A right-handed batsman and a medium-pace bowler,Waugh is considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Waugh was a part of the Australian team that won their first world title during the 1987 Cricket World Cup. As Australian captain from 1997 to 2004,he led Australia to fifteen of their record sixteen consecutive Test wins,and to victory in the 1999 Cricket World Cup. Waugh is considered the most successful Test captain in history with 41 victories and a winning ratio of 72%.
The New Zealand national cricket team represents New Zealand in men's international cricket. Nicknamed the Black Caps,they played their first Test in 1930 against England in Christchurch,becoming the fifth country to play Test cricket. Andrew Richard Caddick is a former cricketer who played for England as a fast bowler in Tests and ODIs. At 6 ft 5in,Caddick was a successful bowler for England for a decade,taking 13 five-wicket hauls in Test matches. He spent his entire English domestic first-class cricket career at Somerset County Cricket Club,and then played one Minor Counties match for Wiltshire in 2009.

Luke James Wright is an English former cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium bowler. Wright joined Sussex in 2004,having started his career at Leicestershire. He made his One Day International debut on 5 September 2007 against India. In November 2022,he became a selector for the England men's team,announcing his retirement from playing at the same time. Wright was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
Aaron James Finch is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer who served as the captain of the Australian cricket team in ODI and T20I cricket. In domestic cricket,he currently plays for and captains the San Francisco Unicorns of Major League Cricket Finch currently holds the record for two of the three highest individual scores in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I),his score of 172 against Zimbabwe in July 2018 beating his previous record of 156 against England in 2013. Finch was a part of the Australian team that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup,and six years later as Australia's captain,Finch also led Australia to win the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup,which was the maiden T20 World Cup title for the country. In July 2018,he became the first player to reach 900 rating points on the official International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I rankings. He made his Test debut for Australia in October 2018. He is also a part time commentator with Fox Cricket and Triple M. Finch has played domestically for Victoria and Melbourne Renegades. He is an opening batter,and occasional left arm orthodox spinner.
Craig Richard Ervine is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in limited overs matches. Ervine is a left-handed batter. He was born in Harare and has played Test and limited overs cricket for the Zimbabwe national cricket team and first-class cricket for a variety of Zimbabwean sides in the Logan Cup. He holds an Irish passport. In January 2022,in the opening fixture of the series against Sri Lanka,Ervine played in his 100th One Day International (ODI) match.

He is the son of former Zimbabwe international cricketer Kevin Curran,and the brother of both Northamptonshire CCC batsman Ben Curran and England and Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran.
