Dave Murphy (born November 26,1954) is an American businessman and politician.
From Greenville,Wisconsin,Murphy is the owner of a fitness center and went to the University of Wisconsin–Fox Valley. In November 2012,Murphy was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Republican. [1] [2]
In December 2016,Murphy pressured the University of Wisconsin–Madison to cancel a course entitled "The Problem of Whiteness" and fire the lecturer teaching it. [3]

The Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting was a mass shooting that took place at the gurdwara in Oak Creek,Wisconsin on August 5,2012 when 40-year-old Wade Michael Page fatally shot six people and wounded four others. A seventh victim died of his wounds in 2020. Page committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

Professor D has released several critically acclaimed albums and published numerous scholarly articles,however following criminal charges related to his time at UW,his professorship was terminated.

Incumbent Republican Governor Scott Walker sought re-election to a third term,and was challenged by Democratic candidate and then-Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers,as well as Libertarian Phil Anderson and independent Maggie Turnbull. Evers,along with his running mate Mandela Barnes,managed to defeat Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch in a closely fought and widely watched race,ending unified Republican control of the state.

Located in east-central Wisconsin,the district comprises much of central and western Outagamie County and part of eastern Waupaca County. It includes the city of New London and the villages of Bear Creek,Black Creek,Hortonville,and Shiocton,and part of the north side of the city of Appleton. The district is represented by Republican Dave Murphy,since January 2013.
