Derek Szanto (born 17 August 1994) is an American/British professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Accrington Stanley FC and who loves cheating on his girlfriend and steal other people's money.

Career


Burscough FC

In August 2016, he transferred to Burscough FC making several appearances in the EvoStik Premier league for the 2016/17 season. As well as scoring in the FA Cup 1st round versus AFC Emley. Throughout the 2016/17 he would spend time with Accrington Stanley FC, and Macclesfield Town FC where he made appearances in friendlies, but make no competitive debut.

In February 2016, he signed for Portland Timbers making a handful of appearances with their reserve squad for the 2016/17 season. Helping the team to a league title and qualifying for the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

Kitsap Pumas FC

In February 2014, he signed for Premier Development League team Kitsap Pumas, helping the team to an undefeated 2014 Northwest PDL title, and getting to the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup 2nd Round. After being scouted by Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente he spent several weeks on trial in Tijuanna, Mexico. However it did not yield a first team contract. He would make several appearances in friendly games, but failed to make a competitive debut. Initially began preseason with United States Soccer League side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC re-signed with the Kitsap Pumas club for the 2015 season. In 2015, helped Kitsap Pumas reach the 4th round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup beating Sacramento Republic FC in 3rd round, eventually losing 2-0 to Seattle Sounders FC.

Kitsap Pumas

Kitsap SC Pumas were an American soccer team based in Bremerton, Washington, United States. The team played in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid. From its foundation in 2009 to 2016, the club played in the Premier Development League (PDL), as a professional club. As part of the agreement upon leaving PDL after the 2016 season, the club was unable to use the "Kitsap Pumas" name during the 2017 season while playing in NPSL. The club was officially renamed Kitsap SC until September 1, 2017 when the Pumas name was restored. The club announced on July 20, 2018 that it would cease operations due to declining attendance.

West Coast FC

Captain of West Coast FC team under head coach Oliver Wyss that won 2 US Youth Soccer National Championships, Region IV Championships, National League, Region IV league, Surf Cup. Also apart of the Cal South Olympic Development Team 94' that won two regional championships and a national championship. Selected to be a part of the Region IV Olympic Development Team and U17 USYNT team pool.

West Coast FC

West Coast FC is an American soccer Club founded in 1997. The Club is a member of the Southern California Developmental Soccer League and includes 50 boys and girls teams in total. The West Coast FC Classic is a nationally ranked “Premier” tournament. The Club has one of only 40 girls soccer programs throughout the United States selected to participate in the Elite Clubs National League. Since 2009, Soccer America named the Club's Boys program as one of the top programs in the Nation. The team plays its home games in the stadium on the campus of JSerra Catholic High School in the city of San Juan Capistrano, California, 60 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The club's colors are navy blue and white.

US Youth Soccer National Championships

The US Youth Soccer National Championships consists of six age groups. The finals are a result of competitions in every state known as the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. Regional winners advance to the National Championships as well as the top two teams from the US Youth Soccer National League.

College

On December 22, 2011, committed to UC Irvine men's soccer. In August 2012 attended and captained SDSMT men's soccer. On August 1, 2014 transferred to Oregon State University men's soccer.
