Disney Junior (formerly known as Playhouse Disney) is a Southeast Asian pay television channel owned by Fox Networks Group Asia Pacific. Aimed mainly for children between 2 through 8 years of age, [4] its programming consists of original first-run television series, theatrically-released and made-for-DVD movies and select other third-party programming. Disney Junior also lent its name to an early morning program block seen on sister network Disney Channel, branded as "Disney Junior on Disney Channel."

The block was discontinued on 31 July 2018 in favor of using the Disney Channel moniker.

Due to agreement between Disney and Astro, Disney channels cannot appear on other Malaysian TV providers.

Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior ceased transmission in Singapore on June 1, 2020, on both Singtel and StarHub and replaced by Disney+ on February 23, 2021. [5]

On August 5, 2020, Disney Junior upgraded to HD on Astro but Disney Junior, including its sister channels, would cease operations in Malaysia on January 1, 2021, on Astro due to launch of Disney+ Hotstar in Malaysia on June 1, 2021 and replaced by Nick Jr. and Boomerang which launched on December 15, 2020 on Astro on same package (Kids Pack). The cessation message is Put characters Tom & Jerry and Dora due to channel replacement and say words in the message "This channel is no longer available. Enjoy the refreshed Kids Pack with new channels Boomerang (CH 619) and Nick Jr. (CH 617) on TV & 10,000 episodes Demand. We also have FAMtv (CH 100), a brand new pop-up channel."

After 17 years of broadcasting, Disney Junior Asia, Disney Junior Hong Kong, Disney Channel Asia, Disney Channel Hong Kong along with Disney Channel and many other Fox Networks Asia and Fox Networks Hong Kong channels will end their broadcasts in Asia effective October 1, 2021. However, Disney Junior shows will be shown on Disney+ Hotstar (in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand) and Disney+ (in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore). [6] [7] however, Disney Channel Taiwan alongside Disney Junior Taiwan will remain in operation after this date. [3]

Star India continues to operate the Indian feed of the network as a channel specialised in Western films, while the Middle Eastern feed, operated by Fox Networks Group Middle East, co-exists with Fox Movies. Star Movies HD in Taiwan is operated by Fox Network Group Taiwan which was the advertisement-free offering of Fox Movies Taiwan. However, from March 2021 Star Movies Taiwan started doing short advertisement breaks in between movies. Star Movies in Middle East is operated by Fox Network Group Middle East. Star Movies has been changed into Star Movies HD on January 10, 2021.

    Star Chinese Channel is a Taiwanese Mandarin general entertainment television channel operated by Star China Media and Fox Networks Group Asia Pacific. Its programming features drama, variety, lifestyle, and talk shows in Mandarin. Launched on 21 October 1991 at 16:30 Hong Kong Time by Star TV, the channel originally targeted audiences in Greater China broadcasting in both Mandarin and Cantonese, before it reduced broadcasting area to just Taiwan and began broadcasting only in Mandarin on 31 March 1996.

    Aniplus is a South Korean television channel and anime distributor. Launched on 7 December 2009, the channel is currently available on SK Broadband, LG Uplus IPTV service, and KT SkyLife. The company also has a video on demand platform in its own country. Most of its programming are licensed from its parent company JJ MediaWorks for subtitling and dubbing distribution.
