Draycott is a hamlet in the English county of Worcestershire.
It is located on the A38 road due south of the city of Worcester. It forms part of the civil parish of Kempsey and the Malvern Hills district.
Draycott's name comes from the phrase 'cottages by the dræg'. [1] A 'dræg' is a small anchor with four arms. [2]

Draycott Sleights is a 61.95 hectares biological Site of Special Scientific Interest at Draycott in the Mendip Hills, Somerset, England, notified in 1987. The name is pronounced locally as "Slates", presumably a variation on the Saxon word Slade meaning amongst other things hillside, rather than in the same manner as the Yorkshire place of the same spelling.

Henry Draycott was an English-born Crown official and judge in sixteenth-century Ireland, who held a number of senior Government offices, including Chancellor of the Exchequer of Ireland. Despite his apparent lack of legal qualifications, he also had a successful career as a judge, becoming a Baron of the Court of Exchequer (Ireland) and Master of the Rolls in Ireland. He became a substantial landowner in the Pale, with his principal estate at Mornington, County Meath.
