Dreamscapes is a limited edition eight-CD set of rare Alphaville recordings, released in 1999. It features 124 tracks with a total playing time of around 9.5 hours. 43 of the songs had never been available before, and all of the remainder had been remixed.

Contents

The four double CDs were packaged in a large (A4-sized) box, and accompanied by a large 64-page booklet, containing lyrics, rare photographs and original short fiction. Inside the box were 4 double-CDs, the cover of each was 1/4 of the overall box art.

A promotional copy called "Visions of Dreamscapes" was released to accompany the album. A shorter version of the set titled Dreamscapes Revisited was released in 2005.

Dreamscapes Revisited

Dreamscapes Revisited is a re-release of Alphaville's 1999 limited 8-CD compilation Dreamscapes. [1] This 93 track release omits 31 of the original's 124 tracks but includes the previously unreleased "Whales (demo 1)".[ citation needed ]

Alphaville is a German synth-pop band formed in Münster in 1982. They gained popularity in the 1980s. The group was founded by singers Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd, and Frank Mertens. They achieved chart success with the singles "Forever Young", "Big in Japan", "Sounds Like a Melody", "The Jet Set", and "Dance with Me". Gold remains the only continuous member of Alphaville. They took their name from Jean-Luc Godard's movie of the same name.

<i>Queen: The Eye</i> 1997 video game

Queen: The Eye is an action-adventure electronic video game that was released in 1997-1998 by Electronic Arts, and featured music by the rock group Queen which was remixed exclusively for The Eye by Joshua J. Macrae at Roger Taylor's studio in Surrey. The game is set in the future where the world is ruled by an all-seeing machine called "The eYe" which has eradicated everything that promotes creative expression. The player takes the role of Dubroc, a secret agent of The eYe who in the course of his duties has re-discovered a database of popular rock music, and is sentenced to death in "The Arena", a live television show broadcast through satellites to the world in which the contestant battles fighting arena champions called the Watchers. From there Dubroc goes on a quest to destroy The eYe. Many elements of the story were adapted into the Queen musical We Will Rock You.

<i>The Breathtaking Blue</i> 1989 studio album by Alphaville

The Breathtaking Blue is the third album by German synth-pop band Alphaville, released in April 1989. A companion video, Songlines, was released in September 1989. The CD release of this album was one of the first commercial CD+G format discs. Alphaville released three singles from the album, "Romeos", "Summer Rain" and "Mysteries of Love", the first of which charted internationally.

<i>My Lives</i> 2005 box set by Billy Joel

My Lives is a box set compilation of demos, outtakes, B-sides, soundtrack cuts, live recordings and album cuts by American singer-songwriter Billy Joel. It was released on November 22, 2005. The album name is derivative of the Billy Joel song "My Life". The liner notes were written by longtime Rolling Stone magazine contributor Anthony DeCurtis.

The Bonkers series was one of the leading happy hardcore compilation series in the UK. The first release was in 1996 on the record label React. It was available on 2xCD and 2xTC formats. DJs Sharkey and Hixxy were signed by React, and they released "Bonkers", the first in a series of albums that has become the best-selling hardcore compilation series of all time. As of 11 May 2009, the series had reached its nineteenth release, titled Bonkers: The Original Hardcore.

The set is packaged in a matte black box with gold lettering, containing three 2-disc gatefold digipaks and an extensive 80-page booklet of liner notes and photos.

Beautiful Life: The Singles is a commemorative box set by the Swedish pop group Ace of Base. The 26-CD box set contains every commercial and promotional CD single released from the group's first four studio albums, Happy Nation / The Sign (1992/1993), The Bridge (1995), Flowers / Cruel Summer (1998), and Da Capo (2002). Each disc comes with previously unreleased material, including brand new remixes commissioned specifically for the release. It was released under the label Edsel by the Demon Music Group on 28 April 2023 in the UK.
