Staffordshire is a landlocked county in the West Midlands of England. It borders with Cheshire to the northwest, Derbyshire and Leicestershire to the east, Warwickshire to the southeast, West Midlands and Worcestershire to the south, and Shropshire to the west.

The first saw the Derbyshire Cricket Board as the home team against Shropshire and the second saw Staffordshire against the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board. The ground has held a number of Second XI Championship and Second XI Trophy matches for the Derbyshire Second XI.
Keith Harvey Stride is a former English cricketer. Stride was a right-handed batsman who bowled left-arm fast-medium. He was born in Dunstall, Staffordshire.
