The Edris House is a mid-century modern house designed by E. Stewart Williams in Palm Springs, California for William and Majorie Edris in 1954. The house is situated on a rocky outcrop, with the exterior of the house clad in wood. [2] [3]
Mid-century modern (MCM) is the design movement in interior, product, graphic design, architecture, and urban development from roughly 1945 to 1975. The term, employed as a style descriptor as early as the mid-1950s, was reaffirmed in 1983 by Cara Greenberg in the title of her book, Mid-Century Modern: Furniture of the 1950s, celebrating the style that is now recognized by scholars and museums worldwide as a significant design movement.
Emerson Stewart Williams, FAIA was a prolific Palm Springs, California-based architect whose distinctive modernist buildings, in the Mid-century modern style, significantly shaped the Coachella Valley's architectural landscape and legacy.

The house was later owned by J. R. Roberts, former managing director of the Palm Springs Art Museum and Design Center. [4]

The Fillmore Detroit is a multi-use entertainment venue operated by Live Nation. Built in 1925, the Fillmore Detroit was known for most of its history as the State Theatre. It is located near the larger Fox Theatre in the Detroit Theatre District along Woodward Avenue across from Comerica Park and Grand Circus Park. The Fillmore Detroit features a theatre with a Grand Lobby and three levels of seating, as well as the State Bar & Grill which has a separate entrance and is open when the theatre is not hosting events. The Detroit Music Awards are held annually at The Fillmore Detroit in April. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Stewart Williams, to a commission from the American singer and actor Frank Sinatra. The house was Williams's first residential commission. Sinatra lived in the house from its completion in 1947 to 1954, and sold the house in 1957.
