A school shooting occurred on November 8, 2005 at Campbell County Comprehensive High School in Jacksboro, Tennessee, United States, when a 15-year-old freshman student shot the school principal and two assistant principals. One assistant principal, Ken Bruce, died as a result of the shooting.

Shauntay L. Henderson is an American felon. She was a fugitive wanted for murder for several months until she was apprehended by the FBI on March 31, 2007, after being on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list for less than 24 hours. A reward of $100,000 for information leading to her arrest was offered. She had a bench trial and the judge gave her parole with a 10-year suspended sentence, due to her being her own main witness in her trial and claiming self-defense. Five months later, while out on parole, she was pulled over and caught with narcotics and an illegal firearm, leading to a 17-year sentence with a release date in 2027.
Christopher Michael Barrios Jr. was a six-year-old American boy who was raped and murdered by three neighbors in Brunswick, Georgia, on March 8, 2007. His body was discovered on March 15, 2007, just a few miles from where he had disappeared.
The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church Shooting was a mass shooting that occurred on July 27, 2008 when an unemployed Tennessee truck driver named Jim David Adkisson went on a shooting rampage at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. Adkisson opened fire on members of the congregation during a church youth performance, killing two people and wounding six others before he was restrained by church members; according to police, he had planned to keep shooting until the police arrived and killed him. A letter, or "manifesto", found in his vehicle after the shooting attributed his motivation for the rampage as a hatred of liberals, Democrats, African Americans, and homosexuals. In the letter he also described what he believed to be the cult-like atmosphere of the church. Adkisson pled guilty to two counts of murder and received a sentence of life in prison without parole.
Terry Anthony Blair is an American serial killer who was convicted of killing seven women of various ages in Kansas City, Missouri, though investigators believe he may have additional unidentified victims.
Frazier Glenn Miller Jr., commonly known as Glenn Miller or Frazier Glenn Cross, was an American domestic terrorist and leader of the defunct North Carolina-based White Patriot Party. Convicted of murder as well as criminal charges related to weapons, and the violation of an injunction against paramilitary activity, Miller was a perennial candidate for public office. He was an advocate of white nationalism, white separatism, Odinism, and antisemitism.
The Overland Park shootings were two shootings that occurred on April 13, 2014, at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and Village Shalom, a Jewish retirement community, both located in Overland Park, Kansas. A total of three people were killed in the shootings, two of whom were shot at the community center and one shot at the retirement community. The gunman, 73-year-old Frazier Glenn Miller Jr. of Aurora, Missouri, originally from North Carolina, was arrested during the attack and was subsequently tried, convicted of murder and other crimes, and sentenced to death. Miller, a former Klansman, neo-Nazi and former political candidate, died in prison in 2021 while awaiting execution.
Dylann Storm Roof is an American white supremacist, Neo-Nazi, and mass murderer who is currently serving time on death row at USP Terre Haute for perpetrating the Charleston church shooting on June 17, 2015, in the U.S. state of South Carolina. During a Bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Roof killed nine people, all African Americans, including senior pastor and state senator Clementa C. Pinckney, and injured a tenth person. After several people identified Roof as the main suspect, he became the center of a manhunt that ended the morning after the shooting with his arrest in Shelby, North Carolina. He later confessed that he committed the shooting in hopes of igniting a race war. Roof's actions in Charleston have been widely described as domestic terrorism.
Shawn Michael Grate is an American serial killer and rapist who was sentenced to death for the murders of five young women in and around northern Ohio from 2006 to 2016. Grate was convicted on two counts of aggravated murder on May 7, 2018, in Ashland County, pleaded guilty to two additional murders on March 1, 2019, in Richland County, and pleaded guilty to an additional murder on September 11, 2019, in Marion County.

On October 9, 2015, Steven Edward Jones, an 18-year-old freshman at Northern Arizona University, shot four people, killing Colin Charles Brough and severely injuring three others, in a parking lot outside of Mountain View Hall on the Flagstaff Mountain campus in Flagstaff, Arizona.
On June 2, 2020, David Dorn, a 77-year-old retired police captain, was fatally shot after interrupting the burglary of a pawn shop in The Ville, St. Louis. The incident occurred on the same night as riots in St. Louis, Missouri over the murder of George Floyd. Stephan Cannon, who was 24 years old at the time of the incident, was convicted of his murder on July 20, 2022.
The 2021 Muskogee shooting was a mass murder that occurred in Muskogee, Oklahoma, United States, on February 2, 2021, when a gunman opened fire at a house. The shooter killed six people—a man and five children—and a woman was seriously injured. Law enforcement responded to the residence at 1:30 a.m. CST. A male suspect was taken into custody after he was briefly pursued on foot by police officers, but a motive is yet undetermined and no other suspects are involved. The a request to delay the trial for murder was heard by a judge in early 2023. It is the deadliest mass shooting in Oklahoma since the 1986 Edmond post office shooting.
On March 7, 2022, after 2:40 pm, a shooting occurred within the vicinity of East High School in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S, right before school was dismissed for the day. At least 35 gunshots were fired out of at least three vehicles.
Robert Franklin Smallwood Jr. is an American serial killer who raped and fatally strangled three women in Lexington, Kentucky, between 1999 and 2006. He was convicted of the murders, along with an additional rape, and sentenced to life imprisonment in October 2007.
Stewart Rudolph Weldon is a convicted serial killer, rapist, and kidnapper who murdered three women in Springfield, Massachusetts, in late 2017 and early 2018. After being arrested for kidnapping and attempting to kill a woman on May 27, 2018, authorities investigated his property and found the bodies of the three victims. Weldon pleaded guilty to the murders on September 28, 2021, and was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences.
Joshua Julius Anderson is an American serial killer who shot four to five people to death in northern Tulsa, Oklahoma, between late 2006 and early 2007. He was arrested on the same day as his final two murders, and confessed soon afterwards. He was sentenced to four life terms and an additional 35 years imprisonment.
