Elvegård is a village in the municipality of Narvik in Nordland county, Norway. It is located along the Skjomen fjord. Skjomen Church is located in the village on the shore of the fjord. There is a golf course in Elvegård, located along the river Elvegårdselva.

It crosses the Skjomen fjord about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) east of the town of Narvik. The 711-metre (2,333 ft) bridge has a main span of 525 metres (1,722 ft). The maximum clearance to the sea is 35 metres (115 ft). The bridge has nine spans. The Skjomen Bridge was opened in 1972. Between 1938 and 1972 there was a car ferry here, going on a route about 400 meters north of the present bridge.

Ofotfjord is a fjord in Nordland county, Norway. It is an inlet of the Norwegian Sea, located about 200 kilometres (120 mi) north of the Arctic Circle. The 78-kilometre (48 mi) long Ofotfjord is Norway's 12th longest fjord and it is also the 18th deepest, with a maximum depth of 553 metres (1,814 ft). In the English language and in many historical documents, this fjord is often referred to as the Narvik Fjord because the town of Narvik is located on the inner shores of the fjord, but this is not an official name of the fjord.

It is one of the larger plateau glaciers in Norway. Frostisen covers an area of about 25 square kilometres (9.7 sq mi). The elevation of the glacier ranges from 840 to 1,710 metres above sea level. The glacier lies near the Skjomen fjord, a branch of the Ofotfjorden, just southwest of the town of Narvik. The village of Elvegård lies about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) east of the glacier. The lakes Geitvatnet, Isvatnet, Kjelvatnet, Nordre Bukkevatnet and Søre Bukkevatnet all lie just to the southwest of the glacier.

Skjerstad Fjord is a fjord in the municipalities of Bodø, Fauske, and Saltdal in Nordland county, Norway. It is a 40-kilometre (25 mi) long arm off of the main Saltfjorden. It is connected to the Saltfjorden by the narrow Saltstraumen strait, which has very strong tidal currents. The villages of Valnesfjord and Rognan and the town of Fauske lie along the shores of the fjord. European route E06 runs along the eastern shore of the fjord, and the Nordland Line follows the eastern and northern shores of the fjord. The Misværfjorden branches off this fjord to the south at the village of Skjerstad.

Skjomen Church Church in Nordland, Norway

Skjomen Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Narvik Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Elvegård. It is the church for the Skjomen parish which is part of the Ofoten prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1893 by the architect Ole Scheistrøen. The church seats about 240 people. The building was consecrated on 17 July 1893.
