Emanuel Hernán Mammana (Spanish pronunciation:  [eˈmanwel maˈmana] ; born 10 February 1996) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays in the Russian Premier League for FC Zenit Saint Petersburg as a central defender. [1]

Mammana made his debut for River Plate on 3 December, in the 2014 Copa Sudamericana Final 1st leg. [2] He scored his first senior goal on 14 March 2016, in a 4–1 loss to Colón.

On 31 July 2017, Mammana signed a five-year contract with the Russian club FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. [4] On 11 March 2018 in a game against FC Rostov he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury which would force him to miss six to nine months of games, that time period will include the 2018 FIFA World Cup. [5]

Mammana played his first international game with the senior national team on 7 June 2014 in a 2–0 win against Slovenia coming on as a substitute for Javier Mascherano in the 77th minute. [6]

Argentine Primera División Primera División

The Primera División, named Superliga Argentina since the 2017–18 season, is a professional football league in Argentina, organised by the homonymous entity, that is administered independently and has its own statute. Nevertheless, the Superliga is contractually linked with the main football body, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) that organized all the championships from 1893 to 2017.

The 2013–14 Primera División season was the 123rd season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. It started on August 2, 2013 and ended on May 24, 2014. Twenty teams competed in the league, seventeen returning from the 2012–13 season and three promoted from the Primera B Nacional Championship. For first time Independiente did not compete in the Primera División championship.

The 2014 Copa Sudamericana was the 13th edition of the Copa Sudamericana, South America's secondary international club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. Lanús were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Cerro Porteño in the round of 16.
