Enrique "Enriquito" López (died 4 March 2016) was a Dominican Republic politician. He served in the Senate of the Dominican Republic between 2000 and 2004 for Monseñor Nouel Province. He was member of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD). Before his time in the Senate he had served in the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic in the 1990s.^[1]^[2] López was the PRD candidate for senator of Monseñor Nouel Province in 2010, but was not elected.^[3]

The Senate of the Dominican Republic is the upper legislative chamber in the bicameral legislature of the Dominican Republic, and together with the Chamber of Deputies makes up the Congress.

The Dominican Revolutionary Party is one of the main political parties of the Dominican Republic. Traditionally a left of the centre position and social democratic in name, the party has shifted since the 2000s toward the centre-right. The party’s distinctive color is white. Traditionally, the party has two presidents: the "Titular President" and the "Acting President" ; until 2010 the Presidents and the Secretary-General were proscribed to run for any elected office.

López died in a clinic in Santo Domingo on 4 March 2016, aged 60, he had been suffering from diabetes.^[1]^[4] López was married and had two children.^[4]

Santo Domingo, officially Santo Domingo de Guzmán, is the capital and largest city in the Dominican Republic and the largest metropolitan area in the Caribbean by population. In 2010, its population was counted as 965,040, rising to 2,908,607 when its surrounding metropolitan area was included. The city is coterminous with the boundaries of the Distrito Nacional, itself bordered on three sides by Santo Domingo Province.
