FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship

The FIBA Under-18 Americas Championship is the Americas basketball championship for players under 18 years that take place every two years among national teams of the FIBA Americas zone. Before the 2006 edition, the tournament was played by under-19 teams. The top four teams qualify for the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup.

The Tunisia men's national basketball team, nicknamed The Eagles of Carthage, represents Tunisia in international basketball. The team is governed by the Tunisia Basketball Federation (FTBB). To date, she has taken part in the regional championship the AfroBasket 23 times. In terms of the number of successful performances, it is inferior to the traditionally strong teams of Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, and Egypt. In 2011, the Tunisian national team became the champion of Africa for the first time in its history, defeating the Angola team in the AfroBasket 2011 final. The team's previous success was silver at the home Africa Championship 1965. The team also won bronze medals in the 1970, 1974, 2009 and 2015 competitions.

The Israel national under-18 and under-19 basketball team is a junior national basketball team of Israel, that is administered by the Israel Basketball Association. It represents the country in international under-18 and under-19 youth basketball competitions.

The New Zealand national under-19 basketball team is the men's basketball side that represents New Zealand in international under-18 and under-19 basketball competitions, including the FIBA Under-19 World Championship and FIBA Oceania Under-18 Championship. Nicknamed the Junior Tall Blacks, the team is governed by Basketball New Zealand. The national open men's team is called the Tall Blacks, which is one of many national team nicknames, similar to that of the All Blacks, and relating to the New Zealand silver tree fern. One of the Junior Tall Blacks' greatest accomplishments has been winning the 2016 FIBA Oceania Under-18 Championship, and therefore qualifying for the 2017 FIBA Under-19 World Championship for the first time in team history. The Soviet Union men's national under-18 and under-19 basketball team was a men's junior national basketball team of the Soviet Union. It represented the country in international under-18 and under-19 basketball competitions, until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. In 1992, CIS men's national under-18 basketball team represented the Commonwealth of Independent States in international under-18 competitions. After 1992, the successor countries all set up their own national teams.
