The Fengpu Express (Chinese :奉浦快线; pinyin :Fèng pǔ kuài xiàn) is a bus rapid transit line located in Shanghai, China. It operates between Nanqiao Bus Station in Fengxian District and Shendu Highway station in Pudong District, and is operated by Shanghai Xiantong BRT Co. Ltd (贤通快速公交建设有限公司). It is the first BRT line to run in Shanghai.
In 2012, the government of Fengxian District announced in their annual report that the district is willing to take up the task of construction of Shanghai's first BRT line. [1] Bidding for construction of different parts of the route started in 2013.
On 20 April 2018, the route was partially opened between Nanqiao Bus Station and Shendu Highway station, with a total of 12 stops. [2]
On 20 April 2019, on the 1st anniversary of the opening of the line, Jinhui station opened as an infill station along Puxing Highway, between Nanhanggang Road and Lunan Road stations. [3]
As of 2021, there are plans to extend the Fengpu Express Line to Oriental Sports Center station, in order to relieve congestion on Line 8. [4]
As of May 2023, Fengpu Express stops at 13 stations along Nanfeng Highway, Xianpu Road and Puxing Highway, with a total route length of 20.3 km. [2] [5] Travelling from one terminus to another takes approximately 45 minutes.

As of May 2023, the fleet of buses running on the Fengpu Express consists of 25 Sunwin SWB6128BEV23 rigid buses and 10 Sunwin SWB6188BEV21 articulated buses, all of which run on battery power. [6] Buses provide free Wi-Fi and USB chargers onboard, are fitted with seatbelts, and all buses are wheelchair accessible. [2] Rigid buses have a capacity of 90 passengers, while articulated buses can carry a maximum of 150 people. [2]
Fengxian District, is a suburban district in the south of Shanghai with a land area of 704.68 km2 (272.08 sq mi), a registered population of 1,140,872, and 1.5 to 2 times more migrants. It is known for its relative rusticity, as well as its beaches and ocean resorts along the Hangzhou Bay. Bihai Jinsha is a common place for Shanghainese to spend their weekend.
Shanghai has around 2000 formal bus lines, served by more than 10 bus companies. In the past, Bashi, Dazhong, Guanzhong and Qiangsheng were the four largest; around 2009 they merged to become Bashi Group Companies, including Bashi No.1-6 Bus Passenger Service Companies, Bashi Tram, Bashi Xinxin and Chongming Company, Baoshan Company and Jinshan Company. Each Suburban district also renewed with one company serving each district. Around 2015, Bashi No.1 Passenger Service and Bashi Tram merged to be Bashi No.1 Company, Bashi No.2 Passenger Service became Bashi No.2 Company, Bashi No.3, No.4 Passenger Service merged to be Bashi No.3 Company, Bashi No.6 Passenger Service became Bashi No.4 Company, and Bashi No.5 Passenger Service and Baoshan Company became Bashi No.5 Company.
Shendu Highway, formerly Aerospace Museum, is an interchange station between Line 8 and Pujiang line of the Shanghai Metro in the town of Pujiang, Minhang District, Shanghai, at Shendu Highway and Puxing Highway. This station serves as the southern terminus of Line 8 and the northern terminus of the Pujiang line, and opened on 5 July 2009, with the second phase of Line 8. The station became an interchange station between Line 8 and the Pujiang line on 31 March 2018, with the opening of the Pujiang line further south to Huizhen Road.
Jiangyue Road is a station on Line 8 of the Shanghai Metro. This station is part of the southern extension of Line 8 and opened on July 5, 2009. It is located near the junction of Puxing Highway and Jiangyue Road.
Line 17 of the Shanghai Metro, formerly known as the Qingpu line, is an east-west rapid transit line that runs between Hongqiao Railway Station in Minhang District and Oriental Land in Qingpu District. All stations are fully accessible. It is 35.3 kilometres (21.9 mi) in length with 13 stations. The line entered passenger trial operations on 30 December 2017.
Public bus service in Beijing is among the most extensive, widely used and affordable form of public transportation in urban and suburban districts of the city. In 2015, the entire network consisted of 876 routes with a fleet of 24,347 buses and trolleybuses carried 3.98 billion passengers annually. Since 2013, In an effort to reduce urban air pollution, Beijing has been converting regular bus routes to trolleybus routes by installing overhead power lines on several corridors. Public bus service in the city began in 1921. Today there are two operators. The city's primary public bus operator, the state-owned Beijing Public Transport Holdings, Ltd. operates the Bus Service.
Shanghai Suburban Railway (上海市域铁路) is a network of regional railways radiating or surrounding the city of Shanghai, China. It is a plan for the gradual implementation of a regional rail system across the metropolitan area. The system will eventually connect with Jiangsu Yangtze MIR and Hangzhou Greater Bay Area network.
The Pujiang line of Shanghai Metro is an automated, driverless, rubber-tired Shanghai Metro line in the town of Pujiang in the Shanghainese district of Minhang. It was originally conceived as phase 3 of Shanghai Metro line 8, but afterwards was constructed as a separate line, connecting with line 8 at its southern terminus, Shendu Highway. The line opened for passenger trial operations on March 31, 2018. It is the first automated, driverless people mover line in the Shanghai Metro, and has 6 stations with a total length of 6.689 kilometres (4.156 mi). The people mover was expected to carry 73,000 passengers a day. The line is colored grey on system maps.

Huanchengdong Road is a station on Line 5 of the Shanghai Metro. Located at Nanqiao East Huancheng Road and Hangnan Highway in the city's Fengxian District, the station is located on the main branch of Line 5 and opened as part of the southern extension of Line 5 on 30 December 2018. It is an underground station. During the planning stages and early part of construction, it was known as Huandong Road.
Fengxian Xincheng is a station on Line 5 of the Shanghai Metro. Located at Baixiu Road and Jinhai Highway in the city's Fengxian District, the station is located on the main branch of Line 5 and opened as part of the southern extension of Line 5 on 30 December 2018. It is an underground station and will serve as the southern terminus of the line until the future opening of Pingzhuang Highway. During the planning and construction stages, this station was known as Nanqiao Xincheng.
Zhoupu is a Shanghai Metro station located on Line 18 in the town of Zhoupu, within Pudong, Shanghai. Located at the intersection of Nianjiabang Road and Hunan Highway, the station opened for passenger service on 26 December 2020. It forms part of the first section of Line 18 to become operational, a southern segment of phase one of the line which consists of eight stations between Yuqiao and Hangtou.
Pingliang Road is a Shanghai Metro station on Line 18 within Yangpu District, Shanghai. Located at the intersection of Pingliang Road and Jiangpu Road, the station opened on December 30, 2021, at the northern segment of Line 18 between South Changjiang Road and Yuqiao stations, which includes Pingliang Road station.
Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, formerly named Zhengli Road, is a metro station as part of Line 18 of the Shanghai Metro. Located at the intersection of Zhengli Road and Wuchuan Road in Yangpu District, Shanghai, the station opened with the rest of phase one of Line 18 on December 30, 2021. It is located near the main campus of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. During the planning stage of Line 18, the station was also known as Wuchuan Road.
Zizhu Hi-tech Park is a metro station on Line 15 of the Shanghai Metro. Located at the intersection of Dongchuan Road and South Lianhua Road in Minhang District, Shanghai, the station is the southern terminus of the line and opened with the rest of Line 15 in early 2021. The line was originally scheduled to open by the end of 2020; however, on 24 December 2020, officials announced that it would instead open before the Chinese New Year festival period in 2021. This station opened on 23 January 2021. Due to this station being the end of line, this station is the only station after South Hongmei Road where the Interior is not blue.

Sunwin is a vehicle division of the Chinese company SAIC Motor which provides buses and trolleybuses for bus routes in Shanghai. However, Sunwin buses were also built in other cities outside of Shanghai.
The Lingang Medium Transport Volume, also known as Lingang Digital-rail Rapid Transit, is a rapid transit system operating within Lingang in Pudong District, Shanghai, China. It started operations on 30 June 2021, and is operated by the Shanghai Lingang Public Transport Company. The system operates as an Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit (ART) system, but conventional bus rapid transit-specification buses currently run on the system too.
