Francis Martin (born 15 March 1924), also known as Frank Martin, was an athlete [1] and the 1946 winner of the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the men's 5000m. [2]

Competing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish track and field team, Martin won the 1944 NCAA Track and Field Championships in the two miles. [3] After transferring to the NYU Violets track and field team, he repeated as champion the following year and again in 1946. [4] [5]

His Grand Valley State Lakers won consecutive NCAA Division II Football Championships in 2005 and 2006 and were runners-up in 2009. Martin was the offensive coordinator at the University of Notre Dame from 2012 to 2013.
