The Beacon Street Collection is the second studio album by American rock band No Doubt, released on March 25, 1995 by Beacon Street Records. It was produced by the band and recorded in a homemade studio in the garage of their house on Beacon Avenue in Anaheim, California, from which the album takes its name. The Beacon Street Collection was released during a period when the band was receiving little attention from their label Interscope Records, and were not getting a chance to record a second album, as the label was disillusioned with them after the commercial failure of their 1992 eponymous debut. No Doubt had written large numbers of songs and knew that they would not make it onto any Interscope album, so they built their own studio and recorded the album there. Two singles were released: "Squeal" and "Doghouse".
Hydroponic is an EP by 311, released in 1992. It was their last independent release before they were signed to Capricorn Records for their first studio album Music. It was considered the first EP with S.A. Martinez as an official member of the band. This EP was a six-track demo that contained four songs that would appear on their debut album Music. The four that made it to Music were all tuned down one half step. Before the official release of Hydroponic, the band made hand-written "pre-release" promo copies of the new EP and sold them at various shows as well as "Joe Voda's Drum City", which was Chad's mother's store, who now works at Dietze's Music in Bellevue, Nebraska. Pre-release promo copies were hand-written by the band and sold at various shows as well as "Joe Voda's Drum City" before its official release on cassette. Most of the copies were hand-written by Chad Sexton himself and have been spotted on eBay.
"Super Freak" is a 1981 single produced and performed by Rick James. The song, co-written by James and Alonzo Miller, was first released on James' album Street Songs and became one of James' signature songs. "Freak" is a slang term for a very promiscuous girl, as described in the song's lyrics, "She's a very kinky girl / The kind you don't take home to mother". Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song #477 in its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Nine years later, MC Hammer's 1990 hit "U Can't Touch This" sampled it. The song was nominated for the Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance at the 1982 Grammys.
Omaha Sessions is an album released by 311 that was sold only through their website in October 1998. The album contains re-masterings of highlights from their three independent albums: Dammit!, Hydroponic, and Unity. The majority of these songs predate S.A. Martinez's full-time membership in the band; as such, he does not appear as frequently as on later albums.

"Flowing" is a song by the group 311. It first appeared on the 1999 album Soundsystem, and was released as the second single from the album. It was included on 311's Greatest Hits '93-'03 album in 2004.
"Gypsy" is a song by the rock group Fleetwood Mac. Written by Stevie Nicks around 1979, the earliest demo recordings were made in early 1980 with Tom Moncrieff for possible inclusion on her debut solo album Bella Donna. However, when Nicks' friend Robin Anderson died of leukemia, the song took on a new significance and Nicks held it over for Fleetwood Mac. "Gypsy" was the second single release and second biggest hit from the Mirage album, following "Hold Me", reaching a peak of number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks.
"All Mixed Up" is a single released by 311. It was on the album 311, also known as The Blue Album. This album was released in 1995 and later went triple platinum, selling over 3 million copies worldwide. The song was co-written by Douglas Vincent "SA" Martinez and Nick Hexum. The duo first started working on the song during the 311 tour supporting Grassroots. After the tour Martinez wrote the lyrics about feeling "confused and being unfaithful" and Hexum took the song's title from an early Elvis Presley interview in which Elvis claimed he was "all mixed up" over his new-found fame.
"Amber" is a song from the band 311. Focusing more on their reggae roots, the song is about Nick Hexum's then fiancée and then Eden's Crush member Nicole Scherzinger. Scherzinger appears briefly in the music video, playing in the ocean with Hexum. Although it is not one of the highest charting singles, it ended up their longest lasting on the Alternative Rock chart and remains their most popular single to date. It is also their only single that received a certification by the RIAA, achieving Gold status. It is considered to be the band's signature song along with "Down".
"FINE" is a song by hard rock band Aerosmith. It was written by lead singer Steven Tyler and lead guitarist Joe Perry. The song title is an acronym for "Fucked Up, Insecure, Neurotic, and Emotional", as stated in the album's liner notes. The song, totaling four minutes, nine seconds, is the second track on the band's 1989 album Pump. It was released as a promotional single to rock radio in 1989, and reached No. 14 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
"Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" is a song by Stevie Nicks, the first single from her 1981 debut solo album, Bella Donna. The track is the album's only song that was neither written nor co-written by Nicks. Written by Tom Petty and Mike Campbell as a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers song, Jimmy Iovine, who was also working for Stevie Nicks at the time, arranged for her to sing on it. Petty sang with Nicks in the chorus and bridge, while his entire band played on the song.
"Stay My Baby" is a song written by Max Martin, Tommy Tysper and Savan Kotecha as the second single from Amy Diamond's third studio album Music in Motion (2007). Produced by Martin and Tysper, the song was written for Diamond by special request from her management and released November 21, 2007. It reached number 1 on the Swedish Singles Top 60 chart. The song instrumental was included on the re-release of the album: Music in Motion/Gold Edition (2008).

The song peaked at No. 7 in the US for three weeks, No. 37 in the UK for two weeks, No. 11 in Australia and No. 12 in Canada.
"Freak" is a single by English musician Estelle. The song, which features Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall, was produced by French DJ David Guetta. It contains an interpolation of "Back to Life" by music group Soul II Soul in the chorus. "Freak" was featured on the soundtrack to Step Up 3D and the reissue of David Guetta's album One Love, entitled One More Love.

Stereolithic is the eleventh studio album by the American rock band 311, released on March 11, 2014. It is the band's first fully independent studio album release since 1991's Unity. Stereolithic is also 311's first album since 1999's Soundsystem to be produced by Scott Ralston, making this their first album since 2005's Don't Tread on Me not to be produced by Bob Rock.
