Future of Honor is a term that stands for rookies and trainees that are trained in and by the professional wrestling school operated by the American professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor (ROH) in Baltimore, Maryland which is the ROH Dojo. [1] [2] [3]

The current Future of Honor (Future) talent now of days compete in Proving Ground Matches in ROH in the hopes of winning ROH championship gold as rookies of the company and to prove that they are worthy of a title shot in Ring of Honor as well (The same with female Future of Honor rookies in Ring of Honor that are associated with ROH's Women of Honor.). [4]

Also Future of Honor became associated with the official developmental territory of ROH which was Maryland based independent promotion MCW Pro Wrestling (MCW) during year 2019, with the ROH Dojo remaining the promotion's wrestling school. [5] [2] [3] After this, MCW and Future of Honor began co-promoting events. [6] [7] [8]

History

Future of Honor (FOH) started out as a ROH Pay-per-view and event that began on April 18, 2014 by the name of ROH Future of Honor One, [9] [10] then became a second event by the name of ROH Future of Honor 2 [11] [12] [13] [14] that took place July 27, 2014 and then afterwards became a primary thing for rookies and trainees of Ring of Honor (ROH). The Future of Honor rookie pay-per-view events went on all the way to Future of Honor 3 [1] of year 2019 and Future of Honor 4 [15] of year 2020 that where shared with Indy wrestling company MCW Pro Wrestling which was Future of Honors last rookie pay-per-view event. [6] [7] [8] [15]

Future of Honor (FOH) is now a series of events featuring the promotion's young wrestlers and trainees from the ROH Dojo. [1] [2] [3] The term "Future of Honor" is additionally used by the promotion to refer to their young wrestlers and graduates from the dojo system (regardless of gender). [1] [2] [3]

Trainees from the school are referred to as the "Future of Honor". For example, ROH has had Future of Honor rookies, trainees and participants such as Colin Delaney, Cheeseburger, The Tate Twins, Sonny Kiss, Will Ferrara, Scorpio Sky, Amy Rose, One Mean Team, Eli Isom, Trish Adora, Elijah King Andy Dalton, Aussie Open, The Rebellion, The Dawgs, Myron Reed Shaheem Ali, Maria Manic, Jonathan Gresham, The Commission, Jastin Taylor, Curt Stallion and more. [1] (And today current ROH future male and female talent.)
