The Games Convention, sometimes called the Leipzig Games Convention and abbreviated as GC, was an annual video game event held in Leipzig, Germany, first held in 2002. Besides video games, the event also covers Infotainment, Hardware, and Edutainment. Its concept was created by the Leipziger Messe in cooperation with Bundesverband für Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware amongst others. The 2010 Gamescon was held August 18 to August 22.

Otakuthon is Quebec's largest anime convention promoting Japanese animation (anime), Japanese graphic novels (manga), related gaming and Japanese pop-culture. It is held annually for 3 days in downtown Montreal during a weekend in August. It is a non-profit, fan-run anime convention that was initiated by Concordia University's anime club, named Otaku Anime of Concordia University. The name "Otakuthon" is a portmanteau of the Japanese word "otaku" and "marathon". Otakuthon strives to be a bilingual event, having programming, the masquerade and the program book in both official languages. The first edition of Otakuthon was held in 2006 in mid-June, but later moved to early-mid August / late July from 2007 onward. This year's edition, Otakuthon 2018, will be held on August 3–5, 2018 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The convention is the 11th-largest anime convention in North America as of 2017.

Entertainment for All Expo or E for All was a public video game trade show, created to allow the general public to see and experience new products from the video game industry. The Second E For All Convention took place from October 3 through October 5, 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

It was organized by MP International and sponsored by The Chamber of H.K. Computer Industry (香港電腦商會) and commonly held in December. The 2011 Asia Game Show was held from December 23 to December 26, and it broke previous attendance records with over 450,000 visitors.
