The 33rd Golden Disc Awards were held on 5–6 January 2019 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.

33rd Golden Disc Awards

The 33rd Golden Disc Awards ceremony was held from January 5–6, 2019. The JTBC network will broadcast the show from the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. Lee Seung-gi and Park Min-young served as hosts on the first day, with Kang So-ra and Sung Si-kyung on the second.

Gocheok Sky Dome

The Gocheok Sky Dome is a domed baseball stadium located in Gocheok-dong, Seoul, South Korea. It is the home ballpark for the Kiwoom Heroes. It also serves as a concert venue, with a capacity for around 25,000 spectators.

The first awards ceremony was held in 1986. The event was called the Korea Visual and Records Grand Prize Award (Korean : 대한민국 영상음반대상) until 2001, when the event named was changed to the Golden Disc Awards. [2]

The awards ceremony was hosted in South Korea until 2012, when it was hosted in Osaka, Japan. The ceremony was also hosted internationally in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2013, and in Beijing, China in 2015. [3]
