Golmaal Jr. is an Indian animated television series created by Rohit Shetty, based on the comedy film series Golmaal. ^{[1] [2]} The show is available in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Telugu and Kannada. It premiered on Nickelodeon Sonic on 13 May 2019 as one of the first originals of Nickelodeon Sonic.

The show showcases the story of two rival prank gangs of children, headed by Gopal and Madhav. ^[3]

Synopsis

The show centres on the adventures of Gopal and Madhav two mischievous rivals with their own partners, who encourage their gangs to play pranks on the other which often result in fun, drama and chaos, while their school peon Pappi always tries to find proof and bust five of them in front of school principal Mr. Patwardhan but fails every time, and gets into trouble. ^[4]

Main characters

• Gopal - Gopal Kumar Santoshi (known as simply Gopu) or Gopal is a fourteen-year-old boy who is well-built, smart, bold, confident and strong. Sajeev and Soniya's son. All the children fear him, except Madhav. He enjoys picking fights and irritating Madhav as he knows that Madhav wants to be ahead of him in everything. Gopal's weakness is that he is afraid of the dark, something that Madhav, Laxman 2 and Lucky take advantage of it. His second weakness is that he goes into a trance when anyone points their index finger at him and must forcefully twirls them around to get out of it. Laxman 1 is part of his team. He is the hero of the show and competes with Madhav's gang. He loves sports and loves challenges. He is voiced by Viral B. Shah in the voice of Ajay Devgan.
• Madhav - Madhav Singh Ghai or Madhav is also a 14-year-old boy who is a prank master and the son of Captain Gajodhar and Munmun's son. He is not as strong as Gopal and considers him as his rival, but thinks he is no less and wants to be ahead of Gopal in everything even if it is by unfair means. But he secretly admires Gopal. Even though he tries acting confident, he goofs up as he is nervous and confused. Madhav however can easily be influenced by others so Lucky and Laxman 2 keep inflating his ego and create fights with Gopal. He however is not afraid of the dark. So, at night Gopal becomes ‘Zero’ and Madhav becomes 'Hero'. Madhav is also quite smart and often his interesting plans, ideas, quick-thinking helps the Golmaal crew in tight situations. Laxman 2 and Lucky is part of his team. He is also the hero of the show and is always competing with Gopal and Laxman 1.
• Lucky - Lucky Gill or Lucky is a 12-year-old boy (13-year-old after Vasooli's Birthday Wish) and is a part of Madhav's team. He is short, plump and always has a lollypop in his mouth, which results in a “hmmmmm hmm hmmm” coupled with gestures. Only Madhav and Laxman 2 can interpret him. He is always silently tagging along and does not participate in gang fights. He always provides Madhav and Laxman 2 with brilliant ideas and solutions. He is often underestimated, however they are unaware that once the lollypop is pulled out, he becomes furious. He is voiced by Nilufer Middey Khan in the voice of Tushar Kapoor.
• Laxman 1 - Laxman Prasad or Laxman 1 is a thirteen-year-old boy. He blindly follows Gopal, while addressing him as ‘Gopu’. He speaks with a lisp and likes to repeat his words in English. He is aware with things happening around and always passes on good information to Gopal. He is also aware about Gopal's fear of the dark and consoles him, especially from Madhav and gang. He is a tech savvy, good at academics and languages. He is part of Gopal's team. He is also quite good in languages and other studies but mostly fails due to his nervousness. He wears a yellow shirt and circular glasses. He is mostly shown fighting with Madhav's friend Laxman 2.
• Laxman 2 - Laxman Sharma or Laxman 2 is a thirteen-year-old boy (fourteen-year-old after Mama No. 1) who is in Madhav's team. Like Gopal and Madhav, Laxman 2 always loggerheads with Laxman 1 and often tease him with his lisp. In any situation he concludes that they will fail and starts weeping. His negative comments are mean and rhyming, which makes Madhav nervous and makes Lucky giggle. However his negative comments always give rise to clues that help the boys in finding a solution to their problem. Owing to his chronic cold, he is always sneezing and sniffling. He wears a blue T-shirt with a full sleeve. He can understand Lucky's talking/language. Sometimes, he makes many kinds of funny rhymes while speaking. He is always by Madhav's side and mostly shown fighting with Gopal's friend Laxman 1. He is voiced by Amaan Shaikh in the voice of Kunal Khemu.

Other characters

• Pappi - Pappi Boss or Pappi is a 31-year-old cunning peon and a servant of Patwardhan Sir. His sole mission is to gather proof of the five children engaged in bizarre feats with Vasooli. However always due to some unexpected funny accident, he is never able to gather proof. Due to this, he gets into trouble, and is mostly scolded by Mr. Patwardhan. He also blames the students although if they did not do anything notorious rarely. The sound of a school bell makes him go cuckoo. If he hears it, he suddenly pops out from wherever he is hiding and starts dancing. He is voiced by Anamaya Verma in the voice of Johnny Lever.
• Mr. Patwardhan - He is about 60 years old. He is the principal of Golden hills high school. He is very strict and expects his students to follow his military like rules. However he is quite a jovial man as well. He is very impressed with Gopal and Madhav as he feels that they excel in everything they do. His enemies are Vasooli, Vasu Dhasu, Principal Pangeshwar and Moochi Pehalwan. He is unaware of their rivalry and thinks they make a fantastic team. The boys are also cautious not to reveal their rivalry because they do not want to get punished, as well as the fear of being expelled from school and do not want to break his trust. He has a weakness for desi sweets. He hides them in different boxes all over his office. When he gets angry, his left eye starts winking uncontrollably. He is voiced by Vinod Kulkarni .
• Vasooli - Vasooli (commonly known as Vasooli Bhai) is a resourceful 19½-year-old man. He begins a new business in every episode. Vasooli seems tough but he is also soft at heart, emotional, and dumb. Children never return their dues on time. He is the enemy of Patwardhan Sir and Pappi and thought as useless by them. He is voiced by Nitin Kakkar in the voice of Mukesh Tiwari. Vasooli's character is inspired from the real-life Vasooli Bhai Heer Singh and his boss Kalidas.
• Milli - Milli Khatte or Milli is another student of the class. She is 14½ years old. Gopal and Madhav collectively have a crush on her. They always tried to impress her but Milli is not impressed by them and thinks they are losers. Milli is generally impressed by Lucky. But sometimes Gopal and Madhav impress her. She is voiced by Samridhii Shukla .
• Bomb - Bomb is a brown-coloured pet dog of Milli. When anyone hears his name, they get scared.
• Distinction - Distinction is a rarely seen character who is Gopal's and Madhav's classmate. He is good at studies, especially in science and maths. He is mostly troubled by Gopal and Madhav's pranks.
• Vasu Dhasu - Vasu Dhasu is an enemy of Golden Hills High School, five students and principal Patwardhan. He repeatedly keeps an eye on the school so that he can steal its property documents and build his shop on the school's land but fails due to Gopal and Madhav. He is voiced by Pawan Kalra.
• Pandu - Pandu is the snake man who attacks Gopal and Madhav by acting like a snake but his weakness is getting opposed by the five students playing snake flute. He is the enemy of five students. he is voiced by Saumya Daan.
• Peter and Repeater - Peter and Repeater are the education ministers. They will lock up a school if they find something wrong. They carry heavy padlocks with them and 5-star certificates. They give 5-star certificates to principals of the good schools. Repeater always repeats whatever Peter says.
• Nonsense Sir - He is the Maths teacher of Golden hills school who is short unlike the others and needs a ladder to write on the board. He keeps repeating the word "Nonsense" and is short-tempered.
• Sci-Fi Sir - He is the science teacher of the school who forgets certain things due to his old age. He makes some kinds of gadgets which Madhav, Laxman 2, and Lucky think of misusing it especially in "Invisible Gadget".
• Jagoo - Jagoo (simply known as Jagz) is a fat glutton in the school.
• Moochi Pehalwan - He is the enemy of Patwardhan sir. He used to be the servant of Patwardhan Sir, but his job ended for some reason. He also has two bodyguards.
• Zero - Zero is the thief who is hired by Vasu Dhasu to steal the properties but always fails. His catchphrase is 'Naam Hai Zero, Kaam Mein Hero'. He always fails because of Gopal and Madhav in the episode 'Patangbaazi'.
• Mayor Chatalal - He is the mayor. He always has his umbrella near him.
• Siti-PT Sir - He is the sports teacher of Golden Hills High School. He always has his whistle near him. He is voiced by Manoj Pandey in the voice of Asrani.
• Rupvati - She is the buffalo of Pappi. She gets lost at times.
• Inspector Dande - He is the police inspector.
• Constable Gandhari - He is a constable of Inspector Dande.
• Pandit Bhusbhusji - He is a singing artist who sings the songs with very loud voice that is why no one can hear his song for long time. He is seen in Episode 2 for the first time.
• Captain Gajodhar - He is father of Madhav and a Brigadier.
• Sajeev - He is father of Gopal and a good chef.
• Munmun - She is mother of Madhav and a good animal doctor.
• Soniya - She is mother of Gopal and a good sports woman.
• Pangeshwar - He is the principal of Triumph School which is the rival school of Golden Hills High School. He is also the enemy of Principal Patwardhan.
• Mama No. 1 - He is the uncle of Laxman 2 who appears in the episode "Mama No. 1".
• Late Miss Briganza - She was the first, former and deceased principal of Golden Hills High School.

2	Singing Battle	Gopal and Madhav challenge each other for being the best singer so they come to Pandit Bhusbhusji's house after they sought help from Vasooli. A musical dude challenges Pandit. Can the boys defeat him?
3	Pajama Party	It is a pajama party in the boys' hostel and Vasooli is invited. Pappi comes to take proof but is defeated by the boys again.
4	Galli Cricket	Gopal and Madhav with their teams play cricket with Vasooli. Gopal hits a six towards Pandu's scary house so the boys go to get the ball but Pandu defeats them. Can the boys compete against him?
5	Talent King	After seeing a talent king poster, Gopal and Madhav go to show off their talents turning it to a competition between them. But in the end all of them win.
6	Principal Memento	After such mishaps for Gopal and Madhav's team like flying drones, breaking a statue, using Vasooli's hot-air balloon, Pappi takes proof but fails as principal sir does not need it.
7	Every Dog Has Its Day	Milli goes for a walk in golden hills park with her dog Bomb. Madhav and Gopal have a look at it but for a biscuit feeding fight, her dog goes loose open so it is the two dudes' duty to get the dog back.
8	Chalk Chor	After another mishap in the boys' room, Pappi locks them up in the store-room and get principal on the chair to the storeroom. A chalk thief enters for eating chalks but beaten up by Gopal and Madhav.
9	Silence Please	After some noises, Pappi suggests principal sir to make the school silent and open a library. Both accept it. Gopal and Madhav enter the library and pretend to read books but a mouse enters making books to sandwiches and eat them. So the boys protect the library after making uses of books in a total Golmaal way.
10	Matching Socks	Gopal and Madhav have a fight for a black sock after Pappi steals one. Madhav, Laxman 2, Lucky goes for swimming in a river with Vasooli while Pappi takes a photo but fails and gets scoldings from principal sir as he had lost the proof.
11	Eating Competition	After a fast for Gopal and Madhav from morning to afternoon, they go to burger man competition for a greed for 100 burgers. However Jaggu comes but is defeated by Lucky.
12	Movie Night	Madhav interchanges two movie posters Golmaal and Bhayanak Haveli making a scared face for Gopal. Unfortunately, Principal sir and Pappi came to the movie which means it is a bad day for Vasooli bhai. Pappi blocks the exits but still Vasooli and the five students are saved.
13	Naya Peon	After a great mishap of the breakage of Golden Hills High School foundation stone, Milli was found there which made principal think that she did the mishap. Principal sir scolds and warns Milli that she'll be rusticated if she found doing a new mishap. Gopal, Madhav, Laxmans and Lucky learn this so they scheme to collect video evidence of Pappi creating mess and troubles but they fail.
14	Annual Fete	Gopal and Madhav make up game stalls and invite Milli but she left their stalls as they only know to fight. So she goes to Jholwala games but she loses as Jholwala cheated. However, the boys helped her to get her prize.
15	Maths Test	Nonsense Sir tells that he'll give a maths test so the boys prepare but the next day, it was a history test due to nonsense sir's leave
16	Vasooli's New Bike	Vasooli gets a new bike and Madhav thinks of giving a ride to Milli but Gopal does not let it happen. Meanwhile, Pappi takes the proof of the five boys mingling with Vasooli but he fails due to the new bike and principal's car accident so Pappi had to repair both the vehicles.
17	Milli Ka Birthday Gift	It is Milli's birthday and Gopal and Madhav go to Vasooli's gift store. Madhav buys an expensive gift which was Indian rupee 4000 and Gopal buys a costly robot and both destroy each other's gift leading to a fight in Milli's birthday party. However, Lucky succeeds in giving a good gift so he was taken to the Bollywood, Tollywood cinemas with Milli
18	Puppy Sleep Walking	Principal Sir daily sees that his sweets decrease everyday so he gives a duty to Pappi to take a video of the thieves and he accepts. Pappi takes a video of Gopal and Madhav coming near the fridge and sleeps. When the dudes came to delete the video, Pappi starts sleepwalking in the dark places. Two thieves hide in the drains but are caught by the police.
19	Boxing Match	There is a boxing fight between Rocky and Pike and the dudes come to see it. After Rocky gets defeated, the boys discuss whose Laxman will beat up Pike but Pike challenges the Laxmans. Madhav saw Vasooli bhai preparing for acting so he asked Vasooli to act as a referee. Who'll Win, The Laxmans Or Pike?
20	Traveling Letter	Milli sends Carrier-Pigeons to send a traveling letter which says "Come to the park at 5pm with red rose" . First it goes to Gopal and then Madhav and then Pappi and lastly Principal sir. However it ends up in a fight as Vasooli got the same letter.
21	Rang Jama De	Principal sir announces that Gopal and Madhav would take care of the painting. There was a fight in the painting room leading them to make the painting nasty but however they win.
22	Kaun Banega Principal	It is one day before teachers day (5 September) and principal says that if someone is found out doing good work, they will be the principal and Gopal and Madhav try to do good works but however Milli is the winner.
23	Bhoot Ka Chakkar	Vasu Dhasu thinks of taking away the property but principal avoids him so he decides to scare the students but he fails due to the student dudes dressing up as Miss Briganza, the old principal of the school who died before.
24	Pandu Se Panga	Gopal, Madhav, Laxmans and Lucky come to Vasooli's bicycle repair shop for repairing their bicycles and in return, they get a 3-seater cycle but both fight for it. After Pandu steals the cycle, the boys take revenge.
25	Principal Ka Parcel	Principal sir gives a duty to Gopal and Madhav to collect a parcel. Gopal uses Vasooli's auto-rickshaw with his Laxman while Madhav takes another auto-rickshaw where Pappi disguises as a driver to take a photo of Vasooli and the five students. Can the dudes stop Pappi?
26	Kaise Badhegi Height	Milli comes near the flower garden every Monday for a flower. Madhav shows up but Gopal succeeds in giving a flower. Madhav finds a way how to increase height while Gopal gives them a nonsense recipe like neem and bitter-gourd juice and 10 green chillies. However they fight again in next Monday when Milli comes again to take a flower.
27	Vasooli Ya Usooli	Gopal, Madhav, Laxmans and Lucky take a ride in Vasooli's taxi while Pappi catches them red-handed. However the boys explained principal sir that it was Usooli, Vasooli's brother and principal thinks it as real as he saw Vasooli in white color dress.
28	Vasooli Ki Champi	Vasooli opens a saloon and the boys arrive there. A man named Mooch Pahalwan comes for a haircut. The boys create a new mishap creating trouble for Vasooli as the mishap was cutting one of a moustache. Vasooli tries to hide in Golden Hills High School and gets saved but after coming out, he gets trapped but is saved by the boys.
29	Fun Games	Triumph School competes with Golden Hills High School for fun games. As the Triumph School cheats Golden Hills High School, the latter does the tit-for-tat leading the Golden Hills High School to win.
30	Skating Ki Class	Vasooli has opened a newspaper shop but is taunted by other people as he delivers the newspapers in late time. By learning this, Gopal and Madhav thought to help Vasooli in skating as the newspapers will be delivered on time. The five students get a reward which is eating food from a 5-star food carriage.
31	No Picnic	Pappi thinks of a field trip to an icy land and Madhav switches the shower of so that Gopal does not go to field trip but Gopal takes away their ID cards. The bus driver stops after each 1 meter due to Milli and her pet dog Bomb as well as the five students. Due to a cat, again the bus stopped as the five students and Milli try to get Bomb in calm mind. Pappi suggests the driver to move without stopping. Pappi dances in the emergency window but he falls and his icy dream met its end
32	Tere Mere Speech Mein	Principal gets Gopal and Madhav to a speech competition and say that the winner would get five tickets to the amusement park offered by Mayor Chatalaal. Both prepare. Madhav spoils Gopal's voice while Gopal spoils Madhav's speech. However, in the end, Gopal wins.
33	Party Badlu	Due to a conflict between Gopal and Madhav, Gopal's Laxman leaves to Madhav's party while Madhav's Laxman and Lucky leaves to Gopal's team. Both create mishaps in the school but in the end, Gopal and Madhav apologize to their default teammates.
34	Jungle Ki Sawari	Milli needs a flower named Ajooba which grows once after 6yrs. Madhav and Gopal go to the reservoir and seek help from Vasooli bhai. The next day, Both go to get the flower but the Jungle officer asks them to give fine of ₹5000 and both fight for giving the fine.
35	Nakli Papa	Principal sir asks Madhav to summon his father to the school. Madhav thinks that he might be recorded of doing nonsense mishaps so he tries to find a person who can disguise as his father and he gets Vasooli bhai. Later, Madhav's father comes but Pappi thinks Madhav's father as Vasooli so he pulls out the moustache but he ended up getting rusticated.
36	Garba Night	It is Garba day and the five students bought Vasooli in the school as he know Garba but Vasooli disguised as a girl. Pappi knew this so he chased Vasooli but after the show ended, Vasooli was saved by five students and got a trophy from Principal Sir.
37	Invisible Gadget	Sci-fi Sir created an invisible gadget and keeps it safely. Madhav, Laxman and Lucky looted the gadget and create messy mishaps in the school especially scaring Gopal. The gadget's power ended up and Gopal and Laxman discovered the other three's plan so they fooled them that if they touch principal sir's grandpa's walking stick, they will be able to show a ghost so the three go to principal's private room. Pappi and Principal sir realised this so Madhav and his teammates were punished by being left outside the class and assigned much homework. But in the end, Madhav frightened Gopal.
38	Finding Pappi	It is the 25th anniversary of principal sir and Pappi goes missing. Principal sir says the five students that they will win an imported volleyball so the boys find out Pappi and principal's surprise and won two volleyballs.
39	Book Of Records	Gopal and Madhav do ball dribbling competition to make into the book of world records but unfortunately both of them fail. Afterward many students including the school peon Pappi tries their best to make different world records but fail, At the last unknown to everyone Lucky wins.
40	Mixed Martial Arts	The episode starts with the boys trying to open a jar of pickle but in vain when Milli comes by and opens the jar with ease, unlike the boys who were struggling to open the jar, shocked after what they saw. Lucky told them that Milli had joined 'MMA' classes and hence they all decide to join too but soon find themselves challenging a group of the students of Triumph School led by Anik and Raahithya for a fight. Gopal and Madhav hesitate as they know nothing about 'Mixed Martial Arts'. But in the end, Milli beats the opponent to pulp hence making a win for the whole team.
41	Pani Pani	Pappi takes the boys on a ride on a motorboat and leaves them on an unidentified island in the middle of the sea. While Gopal freaks out on the thought that the island is haunted, Laxman 2 continues on being negative about them staying forever on that deserted island with nowhere to go all the boys feel thirsty. After a lot of conflicts and problems the boys finally get coconut water to drink. While they enjoy the sweet coconut water, Pappi on other hand is also out of water he begs Gopal and Madhav for water and they make a deal. At last all of them happily go towards the school but Pappi being dragged behind in dismay.
42	Rock Show	Both Gopal and Madhav's teams sneak out to watch a rock show. but what will happen when Pappi and Principal sir in disguise is also there?
43	Madhav Ka Melodrama	Madhav frames Gopal for fracturing his arm when it is all a planned scheme by Madhav, Laxman 2 and Lucky. In the end Gopal and Laxman 1 get their revenge.
44	Principal's Wax Statue	Sci-Fi sir makes a wax statue of the Principal and Gopal and Madhav are tasked to protect it. However, in a series of incidents, the wax statue breaks and Pappi tries to frame the boys. Can they stop Pappi?
45	Bad Good Luck	Gopal and Madhav both are sure that they have bad luck upon them which never let them win in any academic situation. When Gopal finds a pen and wins a lucky draw through the same he begins to consider it as it is luck. When Madhav finds out about it he swaps it with an identical pen but it is double swapped by Pappi but in the end Pappi fails again.
46	Action Hero	Gopal and Madhav are determined to make biceps and six packs abs to impress Milli. They try many ways like going to Vasooli's Action Hero School, making Madhav a "buff" and giving Gopal beefy arms with oranges, but when all fails their gang members show them an unfair mean to make their body like an action hero. They manage to impress Milli but what happens when her shopping bags are stolen by a stranger which is none other than Pandu. At the end Milli is again simply fascinated by Lucky.
47	Fishing Trip	Gopal and Madhav play fishing game but Principal announces students for fishing in lake. Then Mangeshwar challenges Patwardhan goes for finding fishes in middle of lake but Pappi brings a big fish then Patwardhan falls in river then caught a fish and wins.
48	Vasu Dhasu Ka Hypnotism	Vasu Dhasu hypnotizes Gopal to take the property papers of Golden Hills School to construct his mall named "Vasu Ka Dhasu Mall" but Gopal recover from the hypnotism and hypnotizes Vasu. At last Mr. Patwardhan finds out about this and Vasu runs away from there.

A mobile game for Golmaal Jr. was released on 10 May 2019 by Zapak. The game is an endless cycling game where you have to play as Gopal, Laxman 1, Madhav, Laxman 2, Lucky to stop Pappi from showing proof to Patwardhan Sir.
