Grzegorz Zengota [ˈɡrzɛɡɔrz ˈzɛnɡɔta]  ( Loudspeaker.svg   listen ) (born August 29, 1988 in Zielona Góra [1] ) is an international speedway rider who was a member of Poland U-21 national team. He has won Under-21 Speedway World Cup twice (in 2008 and 2009).

Zielona Góra Place in Lubusz, Poland

Zielona Góra(listen) is the largest city in Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, with 140,113 inhabitants (2018). Zielona Góra has been in Lubusz Voivodeship since 1999, prior to which it was the capital of Zielona Góra Voivodeship from 1950 to 1998. It is the seat of the province's elected assembly, while the seat of the centrally appointed governor is located in the city of Gorzów Wielkopolski. Zielona Góra has a favourable geographical position, being located not far from the Polish-German border and on several international road and rail routes connecting Scandinavia with Southern Europe and Warsaw with Berlin. Motorcycle speedway motorcycle sport

Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines which use only one gear and have no brakes; racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock. Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track the motorcycles reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour (110 km/h).

Poland national speedway team

The Poland national speedway team is the national motorcycle speedway team of Poland and is controlled by the Polish Motor Union (PZM). The team is one of the major teams in international speedway and they won the Team World Championship nine times. The team has won 1971 Speedway World Pairs Championship also. Two Polish riders has won Individual World Champion title. The team is managed by Marek Cieślak, and the current captain is 2010 World Champion Tomasz Gollob.

World Championships

The Individual Speedway Junior World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. The current (2018) world champion is Bartosz Smektała from Poland.

2009 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship

The 2009 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship will be the 2009 version of FIM Individual Under-21 World Championship. The Final will take place on October 4, 2009 in Goričan, Croatia. It will be first Final on Balkans. The current World Champion is Emil Sayfutdinov from Russia who won the 2008 Final in Pardubice, Czech Republic. Sayfutdinov, who in 2009 season was started in 2009 Speedway Grand Prix, was not defend title. The Championship was won by Australian rider Darcy Ward.

The 2007 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship was the 10th UEM Individual Speedway Junior European Championship season. The Final took place on August 19, 2007 in Częstochowa, Poland. European Championship was won by Nicolai Klindt from Denmark.

Rybnik Place in Silesian, Poland

Rybnik(listen) is a city in southwestern Poland, in the Silesian Voivodeship. The city first developed as a fishing centre in the Middle Ages, then was a capital of so-called Rybnik State. The defending Champion, Maciej Janowski, finished eight.

The Golden Helmet was won by Janusz Kołodziej who beat Piotr Protasiewicz and Krzysztof Kasprzak. It was his second winning. Kołodziej also who the 2010 Golden Helmet host on September.
