Guduputani is a 1972 Telugu-language thriller film starring Krishna.
Krishna as Vijay attempts to save Shubha's character from being killed for her property by the villains in various attempts. The person who was trying to kill her is revealed in the last scene of the movie.

Devaki is a character in Hindu literature, most noted for being the mother of the god Krishna. She is one of the seven daughters of Devapa or Devaka, a king of the Yadu dynasty, and has four brothers. She is one of the wives of Vasudeva. Her cousin is Kamsa, the king of Mathura, a cruel tyrant who had been told by Narada that he had been an asura killed by Vishnu in his previous life (Kalanemi), exacerbating his wickedness. According to popular tradition, Devaki is considered to be an incarnation of Aditi, a mother goddess who was the daughter of Daksha and the wife of Kashyapa.
Arjuna, also known as Partha and Dhananjaya, a protagonist of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. In the epic he is the third of five Pandava brothers, from the lineage of the Kuru. In the Mahabharata War, Arjuna was a key warrior from the Pandava side and killed many warriors. In Hinduism, Pūtanā is a rakshasi (demoness), who was killed by the infant-god Krishna. Putana disguises as a young, beautiful woman and tries to kill the god by breast-feeding poisoned milk; however Krishna sucks her milk as well as her life via her breasts. Putana is also considered as a foster-mother of Krishna as she breast-fed him. By offering her milk, Putana had performed "the supreme act of maternal devotion", in the shadow of her evil motives. The legend is told and retold in Hindu scriptures and some Indian books, which portray her variously as an evil hag or a demoness who surrendered herself to Krishna, though she initially came with evil motives.

A recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, and the Padmashri, He was known for the roles of Krishna or Dushyantha, Bhavanisankar, Narada etc. He performed those roles for about 60 years. He indulged in elaborate raga alapana, based on different ragas while rendering padyams.

Usha Parinayam was a film adaptation of the play Usha Parinayam. It was made by Kadaru Nagabhushanam under Rajarajeswari films. It starred Tadepalli Lakshmi Kanta Rao as Anirudha, S. V. Ranga Rao as Banasura and Jamuna as Lady Usha. Rajanala Kaleswara Rao, Kannamba, Mukkamala, Relangi and Peketi Sivaram played the other main roles.

The film was simultaneously made in Hindi as Jaani Dost with Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Sridevi and Parveen Babi in pivotal roles. Both movies were made simultaneously by the same banner and director, some of the scenes and artists are replicated in both versions.

It completed 1145 episodes and is listed among longest running television series of India and also became the longest ran mythological series. It is also the longest running drama series on Star Bharat to date.
