Gökhan Özoğuz (born 11 October 1976) [1] is the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Turkish ska-punk band Athena. [2] He is the twin brother of fellow band member Hakan Özoğuz, and a founder member of the band. He performs a broad field of music from rhythm and blues to punk rock. [3]

He was born on 14 October 1976 at Fenerbahçe neighborhood of Kadıköy district in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed an open education program at Anadolu University. [4]

He is a son of a pharmacist and nowadays he is living in Caddebostan district in Istanbul.

He represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul as a part of Athena. The band became 4th with 195 points. [5]

Gökhan Özoğuz is one of the four jury members in the third season of the reality television singing competition O Ses Türkiye aired by TV8, the Turkish version of the television show The Voice . [3] [6] [7]

On 29 December 2012, Gökhan Özoğuz married Melis Ülken. [8] His wife gave birth to a daughter on 4 July 2013, followed by fraternal twins on 7 March 2016. [9] [10]

Throughout his career he continued to release many albums, including Akışına Bırak (2000), Kop (2002). Later, under the label Universal Music-Polydor, he released the album Seven (2003), followed by İste (2004), Devamı Var (2007), and Karizma (2009). In 2011, his single with Gülben Ergen, "Şıkır Şıkır", became the most downloaded song of the year. In 2012, Sandal released his 10th studio album Organik. In 2013, his new single "Tesir Altında" became one of the best-selling singles of 2013. Sandal has won many awards throughout his career. Turkey participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "For Real" written by Gökhan Özoğuz and Hakan Özoğuz. The song was performed by the band Athena, which was internally selected by the Turkish broadcaster Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu (TRT) to represent the nation at the 2004 contest. In addition to participating in the contest, the Turkish broadcaster Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu (TRT) also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul after winning the competition in 2003 with the song "Everyway That I Can" performed by Sertab Erener. The announcement of Athena as the Turkish representative occurred on 2 September 2003, while their song was selected through the national final 26. Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması Türkiye Finali. Three songs were presented to the public between 21 and 24 January 2004 and the winning song, "For Real", was selected entirely by a public televote and announced on 24 January during the TRT 1 show Sayısal Gece.

<i>Aşk Kaç Beden Giyer?</i> 2011 studio album by Hadise

Aşk Kaç Beden Giyer? is the fifth studio album by Turkish-Belgian singer Hadise. It was released on 12 April 2011 by Seyhan Müzik. The preparations began in 2010 and Hadise announced that she had planned to publish it by the end of the year. However, due to her break up with her then-boyfriend Sinan Akçıl in November 2010, and Akçıl's decision to take back some of the songs that he had prepared for the album, the release date for the album was postponed. Hadise produced the album and worked with Alper Narman, Deniz Erten, Erdem Kınay and Gülşen on this project.
