HBL PSL Hamaray Heroes Award was introduced by Pakistan Cricket Board [1] during the tournament of Pakistan Super League in 2020. [2] According to the criteria of the Hamaray Heroes campaign, online nominations [3] of individuals (with notable achievements) are received from the fans [4] and 34 winners [5] are finally shortlisted by PCB Board of Governors [6] for HBL PSL Hamaray Heroes Award with a Cash Prize of PKR 240,000.00 every year. [7] Individuals from different walks of life (including sports, education, healthcare, art, culture, music, social work and technology) [8] can be nominated who directly help others, whose work is improving the wellbeing of others, or whose achievements are inspiring others. [9] Being the unsung heroes, the selected 34 winners [10] of HBL PSL Hamaray Heroes Award are being recognized, celebrated and encouraged throughout the 34 matches of the tournament. [11]

Notable Hamaray-Heroes

Many prominent Pakistanis like Hisham Sarwar [12] (freelancer), Hassan Nisar Metrix Pakistan, Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri [13] and Farhan Wilayat Butt [14] (philanthropists), Ali Sadpara [15] (mountaineer), Ayesha Chundrigar [16] ( Animal Rights Activist), Marvia Malik (Pakistan's first Transgender Newsreader), [17] and Rashid Naseem [18] ( Martial Arts Champion) have been rewarded under this initiative during the PSL matches at Lahore, Multan and Karachi. [19]

The most viral segment of the PSL Hamaray Heroes was the Hassan Nisar segment, in which he was acknowledged by the national media for his contributions towards rural areas' ecosystem, tourism, tackling misinformation in Pakistan, and other significant endeavors.

2020 Pakistan Super League was the fifth season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. It started on 20 February 2020. The league was held entirely in Pakistan for the first time. Karachi Kings won their first title after defeating Lahore Qalandars by five wickets in the final.

The player draft for the 2020 Pakistan Super League took place at National Cricket Academy, Lahore on 6 December 2019. The first round took place on 3 November 2019 to determine pick order. As this season was scheduled to be held entirely in Pakistan, only the players who were comfortable with playing in Pakistan were included in this draft.

Tayyar Hain was the official anthem of the 2020 Pakistan Super League, the fifth season of the Pakistan Super League. It has been written by Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan (Xulfi), and sung by Ali Azmat, Haroon, Asim Azhar and Arif Lohar. It was released on 28 January by HBL Pakistan in collaboration with Pepsi Pakistan.

The player draft for the sixth edition of the 2021 Pakistan Super League took place on 10 January 2021. Before the draft, the teams were allowed to retain a maximum of 8 players and make any transfers that they saw necessary. More than 400 players from over 20 different countries featured at the draft. From these players, the teams each selected 16 players along with 2 extra supplementary players to complete their 18-man squads. The draft was completed one month before the main tournament the 2021 Pakistan Super League started, in late February. Due to the suspension of the tournament because of COVID-19, a replacement draft was held.

2022 Pakistan Super League was the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. Played between six teams in a double round robin format with strict COVID-19 protocols, the league began on 27 January 2022 with the first phase taking place in Karachi. The second phase including the playoffs took place in Lahore, with the Final played on 27 February where Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 42 runs to win their maiden PSL title.

2023 Pakistan Super League was the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. Then PCB chairman Ramiz Raja had hinted at an auction based system to replace the draft for the 2023 season but a draft was retained. The draft for the tournament was held on 15 December in Karachi. A total of 36 foreign players were picked alongside local players. Lahore Qalandars were the defending champions.

The players draft for the seventh season of Pakistan Super League took place on 12 December 2021 at the High Performance Centre in Lahore. Before the draft, the teams were allowed to retain a maximum of 8 players and make any transfers. The transfer and retention window closed on 10 December 2021.

The 2024 Pakistan Super League is the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League. Established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015 as a franchise Twenty20 cricket league, it is being played between six teams in a double round robin and page playoff system. The season is taking place across four cities in Pakistan from 17 February to 18 March 2024. Lahore Qalandars were the defending champions, having defeated Multan Sultans in the final of the previous edition.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Pakistan Junior League</span> Pakistani cricket tournament

The Pakistan Junior League (PJL) was a professional 20-over cricket league contested by Under-19 teams representing different cities of Pakistan. The league was soft-launched on 14 April 2022 by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Ramiz Raja. The only installment, the 2022 Pakistan Junior League, was played from 6–21 October 2022, featuring six teams and 19 games, at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Draft for the league was held on 8 Sep 2022, 24 foreign players from nine different countries were selected by teams along with 66 local players. It featured six teams playing 19 games in a round robin league format, at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.It was the first international league to exclusively consist of junior cricketers. Bahawalpur Royals beat Gwadar Sharks in the final on 21st October and became the inaugural and only champions of the PJL. The league was dissolved in December 2022.

The player draft for the 2023 Pakistan Super League was held on 15 December 2022. Before the draft teams were allowed to retain a maximum of eight players and make transfers.
