James Beck Gordon is an American musician and songwriter. Gordon was a popular session drummer in the late 1960s and 1970s and was the drummer in the blues rock supergroup Derek and the Dominos. In 1983, in a psychotic episode associated with undiagnosed schizophrenia, Gordon murdered his mother and was sentenced to 16 years to life in prison.
Embrace the End were a metalcore band from Sacramento, California, formed in 1999. Originally consisting of only four members, the band went through several line-up changes, at one point having as many as six members, including two vocalists. However, shortly after the departure of vocalist Pat Piccolo following the release of their major label debut in 2005, they decided to continue with only Jesse Alford on vocals. Throughout their history, they featured members of the bands First Blood, Killing the Dream, and Alcatraz. After a series of small independent releases with various line-ups, Counting Hallways to the Left was released on CD in summer 2005 on Abacus Records. Steady touring for band occurred in the years that followed across the United States, through the release of their second and final album Ley Lines in 2008. The band has since been on indefinite hiatus, engaging in various independent musical projects.

The chorus was sampled from the song "Free Fallin'" from Tom Petty's 1989 solo album Full Moon Fever.
Beautiful Sharks is the second album by Australian band Something for Kate, released in 1999. It marked a change in musical direction for the band, employing interesting and unconventional chord progressions and production. Sounding more sparse and open than their intense debut effort, the album produced four singles: "Electricity", "Whatever You Want", "The Astronaut" and "Hallways". It also had a limited edition release as a two-CD package, with multimedia content on the second disc. The album was nominated for Best Adult Alternative Album in the 2001 ARIA Music Awards.

Hallway Symphony is the second studio album by the band Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds, released in 1972. It was their final album for the Dunhill label. A single released from the album, "One Good Woman," failed to break the Top 40. That same year, Tommy Reynolds quit the group; different session musicians took his place in their touring and recording before Alan Dennison replaced him permanently a year later. In 1973, the band was dropped from Dunhill due to lack of chart success, but they continued touring and performing live in Las Vegas and various colleges, thanks to the continuing radio play of their huge hit "Don't Pull Your Love."

Covers of the Damned is an EP of covered songs, recorded for Atreyu's Congregation of the Damned Tour, in support of their fifth album, Congregation of the Damned. The performers were a collaboration of Atreyu, along with their tourmates Blessthefall, Chiodos, Endless Hallway and Architects. Two songs were performed by Atreyu alone, one by Endless Hallway featuring Travis Miguel of Atreyu, and the last two are a collaboration of certain members from each band.
