Harrison Foster Williams (born March 7, 1996) is an American decathlete. [3]

In 2019, he finished third at the USA Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, with 8188 points, a personal best at the time. As a result, he participated at the 2019 World Athletics Championships, finishing 14th with 7892 points. [4]

Despite extended periods of time off with injuries, Williams continued to set new personal bests in the years that followed, culminating in a lifetime best of 8630 points at the 2023 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, with which he became the U.S. Champion in the decathlon for the first time. This score also put him 31st on the global all-time list and booked his place at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, where he finished 7th with 8500 points. [5] [6]

Williams attended Memphis University School, where he competed in track & field. [7] Williams graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Product Design in 2019.

Tom Pappas is an American decathlete. Pappas won the gold medal at the 2003 World Championships and was rated number 1 in the world that year by Track & Field News. He is a four-time U.S. champion and was the 1999 NCAA champion while attending the University of Tennessee. He finished fifth at the 2000 Olympic decathlon and competed in but did not finish the decathlon due to a foot injury at the 2004 Olympic Games. His performances in the high jump, 400 meters, and 1,500 meters were superior to those of U.S. Olympic gold medalist Bryan Clay in the 2008 Olympic Games. At the 2011 NCAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship, as a freshman, Beach finished second overall in the decathlon. His 3:59.13 finish in the 1500 meter shattered the previous collegiate record and is the second-fastest 1500 meter in world history for a decathlon, just missing Robert Baker's mark from 1980.

Ashton James Eaton is a retired American decathlete and two-time Olympic champion, who holds the world record in the indoor heptathlon event.
