The Powerpuff Girls is an American superhero animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken and produced by Hanna-Barbera for Cartoon Network. The show follows Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, three colorful kindergarten-age girls with superpowers, as well as their father and creator, a scientist named Professor Utonium. The girls all live in the fictional city of Townsville, USA, and are frequently called upon by the Mayor of Townsville to use their powers to help fight local criminals, including Mojo Jojo, Fuzzy Lumpkins, Him, and Princess Morebucks.
Dexter's Laboratory is an American comic science fiction animated television show created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network. It follows Dexter, a boy-genius and inventor with a hidden laboratory in his room, which he keeps as a secret from his parents. He is in a constant battle with his older sister Dee Dee, who always finds a way to get inside Dexter's lab and inadvertently foil his experiments. Dexter also engages in a bitter rivalry with a fellow boy-genius named Mandark, who is Dexter's neighbor and classmate. Prominently featured in the series' first two seasons are segments featuring superhero-based characters Monkey, Dexter's pet lab-monkey/superhero, and The Justice Friends, a trio of superheroes who share an apartment.

Craig Douglas McCracken is an American animator, director, writer, art director and producer. He created the Cartoon Network animated television series The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, as well as Wander Over Yonder for the Disney Channel. McCracken has previously served as an art director and storyboard artist for 2 Stupid Dogs and Dexter's Laboratory respectively. He has been married to fellow animator Lauren Faust since 2004. He is set to create and executive produce Kid Cosmic, an animated series for Netflix, set for a 2020 release date.
The Powerpuff Girls Movie is an American animated superhero film based on the Cartoon Network animated television series of the same name. The film was directed by series creator Craig McCracken, and was released in theaters on July 3, 2002, by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is a prequel to the series that tells the origin story of how the Powerpuff Girls were created, and how they came to be the defenders of Townsville. In theaters, a Dexter's Laboratory short titled "Chicken Scratch" was shown prior to the film, which later aired as part of the series' fourth season.
Robert "Rob" Renzetti is an American animator and director. Renzetti is best known for creating My Life as a Teenage Robot and the Oh Yeah! Cartoons series Mina and the Count for Nickelodeon, directing Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack for Cartoon Network and serving as the story editor for the first two seasons of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. He was also the supervising producer on the Disney Channel animated television series Gravity Falls and is currently an executive producer on Big City Greens.
Powerpuff Girls Z is a Japanese magical girl anime series directed by Megumu Ishiguro, a spin-off based on the American animated television series The Powerpuff Girls. The anime is co-produced by Cartoon Network Japan and Aniplex and was animated by Toei Animation. The series features character designs by Miho Shimogasa, who was also the character designer of Cutie Honey Flash and Ultra Maniac, and one of the animation directors of the Sailor Moon anime. Franchise creator Craig McCracken was not directly involved with the project.
