Hengsha Station (Chinese :橫沙站) is an elevated station on Line 6 of the Guangzhou Metro. The station is located at Jinshazhou Road (金沙洲路) Hengsha Section on the island of Jinshazhou in the Baiyun District of Guangzhou. It started operation on 28 December 2013. [1]

In the future, Line 5 is planned to be extended from Wenchong Station to the Huangpu Coach Terminal Station.

Since the terminus approaches near Lishui, Nanhai District, Foshan over Xunfenggang, many residents suggested extending Guangzhou Metro from Xunfenggang to Lishui. Guangzhou authorities are considering the suggestion.
