Herndon is a city in Rawlins County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 129.
Herndon is a town in Fairfax County, Virginia, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area of the United States. The population was 23,292 at the 2010 census, which makes it the largest of three incorporated towns in the county.
The Fairfax County Public Schools system is a school division in the U.S. commonwealth of Virginia. It is a branch of the Fairfax County government which administers public schools in Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax. FCPS's headquarters is located in the Gatehouse Administration Center in Merrifield, an unincorporated section of the county near the city of Falls Church; the headquarters has a Falls Church address but is not within the city limits.

Herndon is a planned Washington Metro station in Fairfax County, Virginia on the Silver Line. The station would be in the median strip of VA-267 adjacent to the current Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride parking garage and bus station, which is on the south side of the highway. This location is in Reston, but has a Herndon postal address. In anticipation of a future mass transit route in the Dulles Access Road median, in 1999 Fairfax County constructed a $20 million park and ride facility which includes a Fairfax Connector station that serves most bus lines in the Herndon and Reston areas as well as buses carrying commuters to the West Falls Church or other Metro stations daily. The existing facility is served by direct westbound on ramps and eastbound off ramps to SR 267. The existing parking garage has 1,750 spaces. The garage has drawn criticism because of alleged construction flaws. The garage will be expanded to 3,500 spaces for the Metro station.

State Route 228 is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. The state highway runs 4.53 miles (7.29 km) from SR 657 at the southern town limit of Herndon north to SR 7 near Dranesville. SR 228 is the main north–south highway through Herndon, connecting the town directly with SR 7 and indirectly with SR 267 in northwestern Fairfax County.

Westport High School was a public high school located at 315 East 39th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. It was part of the Kansas City, Missouri School District. A trowel was used to lay the cornerstone of the school on June 8, 1907. The Class of 1957 presented a frame with the exact trowel on October 6, 2007 to coincide with their 50th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of the school. Westport closed in 2010; its building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The Group 6A North Region was a division of the Virginia High School League. Along with the 6A South Region, it consisted of the largest high schools in Virginia. The region was formed in 2013 when the VHSL adopted a six classification format and eliminated the previous three classification system. It is a successor to the AAA Northern Region. The conference system was scrapped prior to the 2017-18 academic year, reverting the previous district. Regions were also renamed, with schools in the 6A North Region distributed into either Group 6A Regions C & D.
