Tiger Prabhakar, also known as Kannada Prabhakar, was an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Kannada and Telugu cinema, with a few Malayalam, Tamil and Bollywood films. He is recognised by the most for his action oriented roles and top-class fighting sequences. While he started out in antagonistic roles in his early career, he quickly rose to stardom after successful films like Mutthaide Bhagya and Tiger.

S. V. Rajendra Singh Babu is an Indian filmmaker and occasional actor who works primarily in Kannada cinema. He was born and brought up in Mysore. His father Shankar Singh produced many films under the banner Mahatma Pictures (Mysore). Babu has written directed movies of different genres in Kannada and in Hindi that include love stories, war, suspense thrillers and comedy movies. Many of his films have been adapted from novels or short stories. Babu has won numerous awards for his films. Avala Hejje is a 1981 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by H. R. Bhargava, starring Dr. Vishnuvardhan, Lakshmi, Dr. Ambrish and Dwarakish. This film is partially based on the 1978 Bollywood film Trishna which itself was remade from Tamil film Thoondil Meen. It was remade in Telugu as Bandhalu Anubandhalu. Lakshmi herself was the producer of the movie.
