The Hyde House is a historic house located at 500 S. Court St. in Visalia, California. E. O. Miller, an investor and politician, built the house in 1886; it was purchased by investor Richard E. Hyde and his family soon afterwards. The house was mainly designed in the Queen Anne style. Its design features a half-timbered front gable end, scaled and irregular shingles, and a porch with a Chinese Chippendale railing. [2]

The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 26, 1979. [1]

The Isidore H. Heller House is a house located at 5132 South Woodlawn Avenue in the Hyde Park community area of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The house was designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The design is credited as one of the turning points in Wright's shift to geometric, Prairie School architecture, which is defined by horizontal lines, flat or hipped roofs with broad overhanging eaves, windows grouped in horizontal bands, and an integration with the landscape, which is meant to evoke native Prairie surroundings.

Millikan House is a historic house at 5605 South Woodlawn Avenue in the Hyde Park community area of Chicago, Illinois, Built about 1907, it was from about 1908 until 1921 the home of American physicist Robert A. Millikan (1868-1953), the period in which he made his most significant Nobel Prize winning work. The three-story brick building earned National Historic Landmark status on May 11, 1976.

Judge Charles P. McCarthy House United States historic place

The Judge Charles P. McCarthy House is a two-story Prairie school duplex which was constructed in Boise, Idaho in 1913. It was adapted from a Frank Lloyd Wright design published in the April 1907 edition of Ladies Home Journal Magazine, where readers could purchase plans for a flat rate, or have them customized by Wright's office for a 10% premium. It appears as a classic prairie-style design with horizontal design elements, including a low-pitch roof with deep hipped roof overhangs.

Hyde Park–Kenwood Historic District United States historic place

Hyde Park–Kenwood Historic District is the name of the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) district on the South Side of Chicago that includes parts of the Hyde Park and Kenwood community areas of Chicago, Illinois. The northern part of this district overlaps with the officially designated Chicago Landmark Kenwood District. This northern part of the Hyde Park–Kenwood Historic District contains the Chicago home of Barack Obama. The entire district was added to the NRHP on February 14, 1979 and expanded on August 16, 1984 and May 16, 1986. The district is bounded to the north, south, east and west, respectively by 47th Street, 59th Street, Lake Park Avenue and Cottage Groves Avenue. Despite the large amount of property associated with the University of Chicago, the Hyde Park–Kenwood Historic District is mostly residential. The district is considered to be significant for its architecture and education.

George W. Smith House (Geneva, Nebraska) United States historic place

The George W. Smith House is a historic house in Geneva, Nebraska. It was built in 1890 for George W. Smith, a real estate investor and former banker who lived in the house until 1921. Smith was married Addie F. Dempster, whose brother lived in the Dempster-Sloan House. In 1925, this house was turned into a hospital by a nurse named Anna Eggenberger. The hospital closed down in 1942, and it was later remodelled as a private residence. The house was designed in the Queen Anne architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 8, 1986.
